Smile Bubs is engaged, labour soon?????

I'm so excited bubbles has engaged!! LOL my first DS didn't engage and i got induced so i'm extremely happy about it! also lately i've been going to the toilet alot (no 2's) which my ob said is a good sign of labour coming soon. Just wondering how soon! Does anyone know if it means i should be expecting it within the next few days or would it more likely be a week or 2.... I'm a little nervous my DH will be at work when it happens and considering she said this time will be quicker i want someone here with me! (DS was 4hrs!)

i'm due on 26th according to my ob... but my DH and i r certain it's earlier than that...

    Hey mummynelly

    how very exciting

your baby can engage in the pelvis up to 2 weeks prior to labor starting with your first baby.

2nd baby...the pressure of your baby's head on the cervix with the head engaged in the pelvis stimulates the release of oxytocin...the wonderful labor hormone...however, with 2nd babies they can still bounce in and out of the pelvis, with less materanl abdominal tone and more room for them to move

    hope this helps

    sending you warm labor hugs

    Hi MummyNelly
Sorry this is not really an indication of when your baby will be born, however the frequent No2's is an indication that things are getting closer
