Can you really tell by the shape?!?

DH and I decided not to find out our baby's gender. From early on, everyone would have an opinion as to if I was carrying a boy or a girl. Now I've only got 4 1/2 weeks to go, everyone is saying boy.

So, I was wondering, is there any truth to the shape determining what gender the baby will be?!?

Absolutely none! LOL. With Lindsay and Paige, I had the same shape belly - pointy out front and with Erin it was more rounded. I think I had the same shape with Lindsay and Paige because they were both really long babies and fit in there differently.

I looked exactly the same with both of mine and I have one of each. Actually I looked SO much the same that I've named all the files of my belly pictures as the date they were taken so I know which baby they were

Looking at your pic in your sig your belly looks the same shape as mine and I'm having a boy. Before we found out my mum's guess was that I was having a boy, not going off my bump, but by the fact that I looked really square from behind at the hips.

I have never known my sister to be wrong!! She can tell just by looking at you. I have no idea. With my last 3 pregnancies she has said I am having a girl... And if anyone wants to know what they are having I direct them to her...

I'm really good at guessing...for the last 5 years I have never been wrong. Every guess has been right. My sis is expecting number 2 and everyone wanted her to have a boy. I did too but told her that she was having a girl. She had a scan and found out it's a girl.

My mum always says if it's a girl, you carry it in your bottom (in other words you get bigger in the bottom, not just the tummy) and if it's a boy, you carry all out in front, and you can't usually tell from the back that you're pregnant.

She reckons she's 90% right, but I am not convinced. She couldn't tell me for certain with Charlie!

Going by Sushees mums theory, I would have had a boy! but I definately had a girl.
Everyone told me my belly shape was a boy belly.

Shape of belly doesnt really indicate anything. I think it would have more todo with a whole lot of things such as your body shape, location of placenta and bubs position.

Celsie, I don't know if it can work the same without seeing you irl but I looked at your pic and it said boy to me.
