Costume ideas for 80s party - preggie belly!!

Hi all,
Just thought I'd throw this query out there, i'm going to an 80s party next week and I usually LOVE theme parties, but then remembered I have nothing that will fit me for 80s theme... anyone got any ideas? I could go the big shirt, wide belt, blue eyeshadow and big hair, but I'd quite like to do a specific character, I love to go the comedy factor!

Well Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair was either very late 80s or very early 90s ... that would be an easy costume

How about Sigourney Weaver in Aliens. There's that famous scene where she cradles the alien in her arms very maternally after it erupts from her gut.

Can't think of anything else.

Haha girls - yes the 80s fashions were very very daggy for preggie ladies weren't they ! I have an old book that recommends that pinafore is perfect for pregnancy (complete with very daggy picture).

Kuraiza- ROFL at your alien suggestion! i dont know if i'd be able to "stomach" it myself though!

I might have a little hunt in some op shops today and hopefully be inspired! Thanks for suggestions!

I might be too late, but while feeding last night, A Country Practice came on TV, and I suddenly thought that Molly was pregnant during the early 80's... Might be a good one to try... She wore some of that fantastic 80 maternity wear...
