I am 38+3 and for the last few days have been feeling constant nausea and the need to vomit - tho I haven't yet. Bubs is still sitting very high (and is posterior atm which may be why he hasn't dropped?) - bump way up under my boobs when I sit. I am trying lots of possies to get him to turn - but this makes my nausea worse. I have also a major loss of appetite...
Sooo...is this normal - is it just the pressure on my stomach? Morning sickness? Part of the heartburn joy? Just a part of late pregnancy? (to go with all the other lovely discomforts?) I also am feeling quite breathless and have a fairly constant tightness in my chest and pain under my right arm - am am attributing this to compression of lungs?
I see my obs tomorrow so will ask then - but thought i'd see if anyone else has experienced this or has any ideas? Feeling so ill has me tired, grumpy and emotional... I am also stressed about bubs failure to engage (tho I know there is still time) I guess I am worried that obs will suggest a c/s and I am just so over being pg that i'll agree when I really don't want one IYKWIM. I have felt so postive all through this pregnancy - but am really struggling at the moment.
Sorry this has ended up a bit of a ramble (a self pitying one at that) and ideas about how to survive the next few weeks would be appreciated!
Yeah, not abnormal. xo Sorry. I think it's got to do with the pressure on your guts? (said Nelle ever so eloquently)
I vomited once in labour with my first bub too.
Well went to obs yesterday and had a meltdown - he and m/w were really lovely. Was offer sleeping tabs again and said yes. Took one last night and feel a million times better today - so I think some of the nausea was down to simple fatigue. Hooray for a good nights sleep!
A couple to try for turning a posterior bubby
- sitting backwards on a dining chair, leaning on the back
- not sitting back into the couch
- hands and knees, rocking in this pos can help too
- walking up and down stairs sideways
