Did you have a 3D/4D scan in 3rd trimester and did it spoil the surprise????

OUR SCAN WAS BRILLIANT!!!
Sooo glad we got it done!!

So worth the $165! We got a DVD (25mins) and a CD with about 100 photos on it, got to see our baby's face and soooooo cute!!! (of course, i can say that! hehe) was told bub looks alot like my husband! so he's walking around super proud that his child looks like him hehe also got told our baby has a fair bit of hair!!! cuuuute... must take after me as i have thick hair!!! the lady who did the scan was just great and loves doing what she does (its her business!)..... we can't wait to do this again for our 2nd bub and so on!! so worth it....

Was wonderful seeing our baby SMILE for the first time too!! and a few times we saw the eyes open!! amazing..... got the gender confirmed to us again and yep it's still the same!! phew!!

We can't wait to meet our little monkey even more now!!!! it's made us even more excited than we were before!!!!

Off to watch our DVD!

google "miracle me" and you will find their website. They are in Capalaba south of brissy. Highly recommend the place. Well worth the $$ spent.
They are the cheapest in Australia and have the best technology also.....

I was going to say that sounded really reeasonable considering how much I have heard some others pay. It is great that you had such a wonderful lady doing the scan as well. That can make the world of difference. The pics you posted are gorgeous! Great baking you are doing there!

hey gals

i really had a bad experience at my 20 week ultrasound and i really want to do a 3D ultrasound at 30 weeks, to know the gender and get photos and dvd and just be reassured that everything is normal as i have siblings with disabilities which were genetic. But my husband is scared that it will do something to the baby, its not good to have an unneccesary ultrasound etc.

what do you think, is it 100% safe?

Hi Sakoon,

Studies can't prove that ultrasound imaging is harmful to the unborn baby and it's only sound waves that create the image. Generally speaking it's safe but of course there is no guarantees. However soooo many people get scans done of their babies and nothing has ever proven it to be harmful otherwise i certainly wouldn't put my baby at risk if i thought it was. Nor would hundreds/thousands of others.
I say go for it, we had a great time!!! And the sonographers don't spend alot of time on one section of the baby iykwim? they move around alot so they aren't focusing on one area of the body if you know what i mean.....

ps have you seen my baby's face in my signature? bub is smiling!!! was happy during our scan!! didnt seem bothered at all LOL

Hi Renstar.

HUbby and I got our 3D / 4D scan done not that long ago. we were 28 weeks and the experience you go through just seeing a real life version of your baby is the best. I wish I have a perminant one in my house so I could see him all the time and watch him grow. We paid $225 for ours and got a DVD and CD of all the images. Teh DVD the used a song of our choice to put to it. The cd was just of all the 3D / 4D images, plus we got a little booklet of the fave picks for us to keep and 4 little cards with a nice pick of Zarius!!

It is so worth doing it!! I have some images in the member gallery of Zarius. I would like to get another one before he comes out but I dont think I have much chance of that lol
