Did you just "know" when you were going to go early in subsequent pregnancies??

OK, I am nearly 35 weeks pregnant with No 3 and I can't shake this feeling that I am going to go early with bubs.

Did you just "know" or feel when you did in fact go early?

I have alot going on at the moment, including running around after a 3yo and a 1 yo, study, starting a new business, buying a new house, this house going to auction when I am 38 weeks, painting to finish this house off, and cleaning thoroughly every weekend for inspections here.

At my last appointment bubs was spot on, but my OB did confirm that bubs has settled very low.

So I am after your thoughts???

Relle, I had absolutely no idea when I would go. It jsut came on suddenly really. I had pre labour for a week or so but I still had no idea when it would really start - the pre labour could have gone on for weeks for all I knew LOL.

maybe you just feel like that because you do have so much on and you're worried you won't get it all done?

    Relle,

You might remember that Lexie came in a hurry..........her EDD was a little ambiguous as I had no AF between having Charlie and falling pg with Lexie, but based on my shag calculator she was "early" at 38 weeks........& I had been in pre-labour for about 3 weeks.

From about week 17 I can remember saying to everyone "She'll be here early."

ohhh thanks Lucy! That means you started having niggles about now too at 35 weeks. I am totally OK with going at 38 weeks, the day after my auction as I will have a houseful of Doulas for a Doula meeting! what a great day to go! I can't go before 37 weeks though cause my Ob is overseas and I am NOT having another Ob deliver me.

I still reckon a longish labour though, just early!

Wow Relle, will be intersting to see if you are right.
I can't believe how soon this has all come around and how soon it will be until we are holding our little ones.
Have you been experiencing pre-labour syptoms?

Relle, I just checked my blog for Lexie's pregnancy. I had MEGA BH at 32 weeks, then really consistent pre-labour niggles from 34 weeks and 6 days...........

So looks like you might be on the money..........

So here's to a huge auction win followed up by a fantastic birth!

When Kameron was born at 38wks (induced), i suspected my next pregnancy to do the same especially when the same issues occured. Lachlan was born 2wks early (induced). 3rd time around I suspected I would once again be told I was going to be induced, but I was going to push to get me to at least 40wks to see if I would go naturally. I never expected to go naturally at 36wks though !!

    Thanks so much girls,

Mel - it is definately getting closer either way ! Some closer than others!!!!!! I do hope Jack stays put a little longer for you too though.

OH Lucy - I couldn't ask for a better weekend!!! Sell the house for a great price then go into labour, early stages with a houseful of DOulas, and, then call Kelly when it gets serious!

Shannon, I honestly think if this baby gets any lower I will be walking around with a head poking out! lol

Kathryn - Wow at the 36 weeks! That is only another week away, maybe I need to get packing and organising, I am totally underprepared!

I was the opposite, i just KNEW I was going to go over, which I did, and when labour started I KNEW it was going to be long right from the start. I was getting constant contractions no more than 10 mins apart but still didn't tell anyone for over 12 hours. In the end it was a 32 hour labour, during which time i went out for coffee with contractions 5-6 mins apart cause I knew I was in no rush!

Relle, i to have been feeling as though bub is going to come early. I was so sure it would have been the weekend just gone but then DH reminded me it was MIL's B. Day yesterday so all my hopeing stopped abruptly lol. I couldnt do all the things you are doing atm Relle, especially the auction. Selling is to stressfull.
We have only just gotten our car seat in and ive just gotten pads and nappies. And on sunday we finally made DS bed so he had his first nights sleep in a big bed last night and did really well. I can honestly say we are finally ready for her arrival now. We have a bed for her to sleep in and a car seat to bring her home in. It must be the bub #3 syndrome Lol.

I still think im going to go early rather than later and judging by all thats said i must have been getting pre labour symptoms to.
    Good luck with everything anyway.

LOL at the baby no #3 syndrome! and Shannon it sounds like No # 4 syndrome is worse! lol

I have my nursery ready to go, purely because I bought a 2nd cot for Cooper to go into which is a toddler bed as well when need be, but the nursery is only ready to go to make the room look presentable for buyers! lol

Must pull the carseat out of the cupboard and put it in maybe tomorrow! OK I am not feeling so underprepared now, I DO have pads and some nappies and washed a going home outfit for bubs.

Can't for the life of me settle on a name for him though.

Trace - you never know hun, you might share your birthday with Zyon! How special would that be! Mum and her little man sharing a bday!

Jelvie - I am hearing you, wouldn't surprise me if my intuitition is off as well, but I went into labour the day after my EDD with No 1 was induced at 39 weeks with No 2, so this one will be a total surprise.

But I am definately prepared for a long pre labour and will not be jumping the gun this time ! lol

Does everyone feel ready for the upcoming labour? I feel far more prepared than ever before and just keep telling myself to go with the flow and enjoy it!

Well girls - Have had some strong Braxton Hicks this arvo. Not painful, but definately enough to take notice of, lots of pressure on the top half of my uterus, just like my intital contractions when I was induced. They have eased again now, but I think the pre labour might be going to start soon!
