Did your baby go quiet near the end

Hi Girls, (i have also posted this in the pregnancy general discussion forum also)
I am sure someone has asked this question before so sorry about that.
Lots of people keep telling me that the baby will go quiet near the end mostly because it has not got a lot of room i guess. I am just wanting to hear other peoples experiences. My baby has always been very active and seems to have slowed a little. Dont get me wrong I am not worried as the baby still moves many times during the day and I have a doppler so I know the heart beat is fine.
Did your baby slow down? If so when? was it a few weeks before birth or days before birth?
Very interested to hear what you have to say.

Some babies do slow some toward the end. None of my term babies did... Just keep an eye on movement - make a note (even if it's mental) of frequency. You still want to be feeling good strong vigorous movements at intervals throughout the day/night. It's true you won't feel full body movements as much but kicks and prods you will - my last term vaginal birth I could feel Eva kicking all the way thru labour! All the way down. It was beautiul.

Both of my girls slowed down with their movements in the weeks leading up to delivery.
It's not uncommon for babies to be active until (or during) labour.

    Hi Salad
My DS slowed down so much at week 38+5 he didn't move for a whole day! i was so concerned i tried everything to make him move, cold drinks exercise, you name it I tried it lol! In the end i went in to the hospital that night to go on the monitor cos i was so worried but bub was fine, he was just running out of room and having a lazy day. After that I didn't feel him move as much but still enough to stop me from worrying.
    Good luck with everything
