Rylansmum, mine did NOT drag out for weeks - coupla days. It's coming. I know it's hard to wait and all the other stuff you've got going on are big considerations too.

Induction at EDD+10 can be usual. In the UK they'll let you go EDD+14 if you want and if you insist, they'll let you go longer, but you must have a hospital birth in that case (i homebirthed but my midwives would only come out between weeks 38 and 42).

I know it's hard, but try not to worry about it. This baby will come out i PROMISE you. You're doing everything great, trying to avoid induction etc. Bubs only gets one birth and you only get to give it once, so make sure that whatever happens (induction/spontaneous etc.) you do it the way YOU want to. You will forget things like when DH's hols were or how you ended up dealing with DS in the days following the birth (is there no-one who could come over, even just for a few hours in the day, to look after DS and make sure you're ok? Also OMG at DH only getting 1 week off and them telling HIM when he has to take it. Grrrr! Very bad employers adding to your family's stresses!) but you will remember your child's birth forever.

Sending you lots of strength and

Bec
