I am sure I read somewhere that progesterone levels and therefore temp also will drop just before birth (a few days) Can anyone help with this question.
How interesting! With the temp drop, does that mean you're likely to feel less 'hot' than usual? I only ask because I've been feeling really hot all pregnancy, then the last few days I seem to have normalised again. And I'm overdue!!!
Oooeeerrr... good luck. I have read that vets will monitor a pregnant dogs temp to give them an idea of when they will labour. I also roughly temped in my last weeks with Violet and noticed the day before I had her my temp did drop
Smiley, it was 0.2oC or something... bit like when AF is due (if you have charted your cycle). I can't really remember, but I do recall it being lower. Sorry not much help... I might chart my BBT closer to my edd and then post it on here... if I remember.

ETA:Relle, you are closer... let us know how you go if you decide to do it
Apparently in about 7 months I will be a qualified midwife - yikes!

Well girls & Alan! lol I had a drop of .23 this morning, so will be interesting to see if anything happens! I am still only 38 weeks though, so not holding out much hope!
Wow I was reading this thread over the weekend, it's all very interesting. I don't know if it would work for me, because I took my temp. early this morining after first reading Relle posts then just again about ten minutes and it was nearly .5 of a degree different. Both measurements were taken from under the same arm with the same thermometer, does this sound right to you all? Maybe I'm just wierd (DH would verify that one)
Good luck though Relle, I hope it's right for you I want another BB birth announcement
Arh that would be why then. I will start tomorrow, might be a fun thing to do How are you feeling anyway Relle? Any different today, do you feel like your getting close? I remember with Charlee the morning my waters broke I just had a feeling she was close.

Honestly Mel, I don't really feel any different. I have a persistant backache, but then I have a dodgy back anyway, so it is more likely just getting fatigued from being pregnant.
I have not had any significant show, or any consistant BH, so I am tipping it is still a fair way off!
