Unhappy Does this sound like SPD to you?

I've had achy hip joints for a few months, but on Sunday I woke up with a really intense sharp pain in my left hip which spread down my leg as I walked and yesterday it spread across the front of my pelvic area when I got out of bed.(It's still sore now - although feeling a little better, I can feel it getting worse over the day) It gradually gets worse throughout the day until I couldn't even walk without DP taking most of my weight.
Lot's of different things aggravate it, walking, sitting up/ lying down, changing position, getting out of the car or turning around while sitting etc. I read a bit about SPD and have a few of the other symptoms as well ie, slight incontinence () in certain positions, lower back pain (have had this for a while but is worse now) and clicking every now and then when I move my legs.
I am a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to self diagnosis which is why I'm asking.

Is it possible I've had this for a while without realising it? Thinking it was just regular pregnancy aches and pains.
Does this sound like SPD to you or something else?

Yep, sounds like it to me. Get onto a physio ASAP, not that you are going to get a quick fix, but they can help with controling the pain better.
I had it severe in my pg and was on crutches for at least 10 weeks. I had weekly massages at the physio, although painful at the time, it gave me slight releif for a day or two so that I could sleep better.
Trying to think of things I did to make life easier... put a plasitc bag under your bum in the car so that when you need to get out you kind of slip out easier.
Get a physio to fit you for a girdle thing as it holds it all together and helps with some of the pain.
Also discuss it with your dr or m/w on the next visit so you can get something prescribed for the pain.
    HTH..

Thanks, I thought it probably was but I never know with me lol. I think I have almost every illness and disease I read about. lol. Didn't want to sound like an idiot when I go to the doctor.lol.
I'm going to see a naturopath this arvo so hopefully he can do something for me. His secretary said probably acupuncture but we'll see when we get there.

Yep. That is exactly how my SPD started. I couldn't walk on my left leg for a little over 24 hours. It was not fun. Rest your right knee on a pillow when laying on your left side. Was the only way I could get comfy. Then when you can get around with a little less pain go get the referral for a physio. Mine is still mild and I take it fairly easy now - so close to the end.. but it is best to get some help when its intefering with everything you do.

    Angry

I went to our naturopath last night, and would you believe it when we get there the pain literally went away and I couldn't tell him which bits hurt when he pressed it cause it didn't hurt at the time. Just like when you take your car to the mechanic and whatever was wrong with it stops playing up when you get there.
He said he thought it was my sciatic nerve being squashed (for lack of a better word - can't remember what he said exactly) by my muscles. He did some acupuncture for it. The muscles felt alot less tense after but by 7 o'clock it was just as painful as it had been before. Could he have been right in his diagnosis and I just need a couple more treatments or do you think that because I couldn't tell him exactly where it was sore he got it wrong?

    so frustrating!
