last night i was having what id call ealy labour contractions.. like the ones that are too painful to sleep through but u can still kinda rest with them.. im pretty worried because with Asha i didnt start getting these until about 2 weeks before she was born and i had nights on and off where i would have them just through a few hours of the night, exactly as i did last night.. has anyone had this as early as 31wks and not gone into labour in the following weeks?? im not sure what to do.. i wanted dh to stay home so i could see a dr or something but he has a very important day at work and since bub is moving and i dont currently have any pains or anything i told him to go... im just not sure what to do the thought of going into labour anytime soon is a scary one and if my body is doing the same thing with this bub as it did with Asha ive got about two weeks... eeeeek what should i do???
TIA
I would definitely call your HCP. What happened with your previous baby doesn't really bear relevance - you could have less than two weeks, or hopefully a lot longer! I would suggest that you need to be checked out, and reassured.
Hi Noni
I agree with the others - go get it checked out just for peace of mind...
It is hard not to compare with last time, but it probably isnt the same (I cant even fully remember everything from last time - think ia m glorifying it LOL) so good to get a professional opinion...
Noni, I did have BHs during my second pg which felt just like labour. I had them from probably about 30 weeks or so. Painful BHs are far more common in subsequent pgs, so you can't really compare to what happened last time.
More than likely it's just BH, but as the others have said, it's better to be checked out than to worry, so a visit to your care provider wouldn't hurt. GL hun.
