    Early signs of labour?

I know there are no hard and fast answers as to early signs of labour, but generally speaking, does baby movement decrease before labour? Or is that only closer to 40 weeks or overdue babies who have started to run out of room?

I got sick with a cold last night, but all day today I've had lower back aches, more pressure on my pelvis & feeling tighter lower belly, and I don't really feel like eating (even though I'm a bit growly in the tummy) - this last one could be signs of the cold though...

But then bubs is going nutso, kicking quite regularly & rhythmically in the one spot, as well as shifting around a bit? I am only 37 weeks 5 days, but this is my first and I'm feeling very confused....

    Could be....?

I had the fluey feeling 2 weeks before my son was born. As well as the aching lower back, pressure and tight belly. I remember not being able to eat because I was in too much pain one night. I don't think baby's movements slowed much if at all really. I was 7 days past EDD when my waters broke, and 11 days when DS was born.

Keep an eye on your temp, make sure you're resting enough (I know, I know...... cliche, but DO IT! lol) and enjoy your last days/weeks of your pregnancy. Either way, it won't be long now until Peanut is here.

Thanks forshelby. My cold, the total lack of sleep, and GD has all really taken its toll on me, which is a shame, because for the most part I've loved being pregnant and feeling Peanut moving in my belly, but now I'm just so over it, and wanting to meet the little one already.

Trying hard to relax and enjoy the last few weeks, but it is hard. Hopefully the cold passes quickly so I can go back to relaxing and waiting...!

Oh, that's rough. I had GD too, and it was no fun at all! Definitely loved being pg though, even when I was huge and 'over it' it was still the most amazing thing ever to wake up every day and haul my big belly out of bed lol.

All the best for his/her arrival, you'll look back in a few months time and wonder what you ever did 'before'. I hope your cold disappears soon, too.
