I was chatting to my midwife yesterday Westy and she says that ECV's can work but often, the baby has been in such a comfy position that even if they are manipulated round to head down, they can often just flip back into breech anyway.
Fingers crossed your little bundle goes to head down on their own.
I'm in a similar position to you but almost a week behind. My bub was breach at the 33 week scan and have just come back from the OB where it doesn't look as though she has moved. My OB doesn't want to make a call on things until I'm officially 36 weeks, but it seems bub is quite low and behind the pubis bone so may not be able to turn on her own or manually.
I'm interested to see if you get some more feedback on your query about ECVs, but also wanted to give you a hug. It's so hard, isn't it? I feel as though I'm being asked to play a game of odds all of a sudden.
DD was breech at 36 weeks but there was still no talk of ECV for another 2 weeks at least. I was about to try moxibustion after my 37 week appointment, but she had turned on her own. There is still some time. I know of a few people who's babies turned during labour.
A few weeks before I had D, a good friend had her DD vaginally after an ECV helped to turn her. It was very successful.

have you looked in to finding a supportive care provider who will help you to birth your baby?
breech is a variation OF normal.. it is not a definate need for C/S
