    EPO

Hi girls just wondering where you have gotten your info from about Epo as i was talking to my midwife about it and she said thats used to induce labour! not to strengthen your uterus(which is what RLT does)
so now im concerned that everyone is trying to induce labour with out knowing!

    feel free to correct me!

Alan, PC isn't due until February 2008. LOL. I got confused with her ticker too the other day.

Linz, I would wait until you are atleast 35 weeks to get started on the EPO.

Ellissa, the EPO won't actually start labour for you. What it will do is start to prepare your cervix, by making it softer and thinning it out. Go for it hun.

I started today (I went 41wks exactly with both girls).

Um what should it be feeling like (internally?) It was really soft in there!??? TMI???

Tracey - I started taking EPO yesterday but only took one orally. I am going to start inserting at 37/38wks. But I would say the cervix would be real soft right not, sorta 'swollen' I guess from pregnancy..

Tracey, because this is your 3rd baby and not your first, changes should have already started to happen. And squishy is the feeling you are after hun.

You will feel if your cervix has started to dilate alittle as it will feel alost like a tiny donut around your finger.

Phew Squishy & goopey was the way it was, I just dont want to go over... (I am struggling with a huge basketball out front!)
I know he will come when he wants to, but anything to help the process a tad earlier I will try!
I cant say if there was any donut sensation, I was one leg up on the bath & man with a huge basketball out front feeling my vagina wasnt at all easy to reach! Let alone gouging around inside!!!! LOL

Hey guys just wanted to ask on the whole topic of "having a feel around"-- what if you have a retroverted cervix? Does that make a difference? Keep meaning to ask my OB but have a shocking case of Placenta Head and keep forgetting. I have started EPO as my midwife said the same as Alan-- that it would only have an effect if the bod and bub is ready.
    Spanks,

Oops sorry I thought PC was due in about 5 weeks

    Tracey
It should be soft in there unless you are managing to feel your baby’s head then you should find a hard round ball shaped thing

    Shannon
Effacing means that your cervix is getting shorter. It may nor be moving to the front

    Hope
    A retroverted cervix is normal
