    Excessive # 2's (TMI warning!)

last night we had 8 people over for dinner for DH's birhtday and by the end my back was killing me - then cleaning up afterwards I started to feel nauseous but it passed. Then I woke up at 1am with lower stomach cramps and felt like I needed to poo so went to the toilet but nothing came and I was feeling like I was going to be sick at the same time. Eventually I did poo, and there was heaps of it, not diorhea, just normal consistency (sorry, but gotta paint the picture!) and ever since I have been going to the toilet every hour or so and doing just as much the same consistency, I don't think I have ever poo'd this much in my life - and still getting the cramps occasionally.

Just wondered if this meant anything, I was worrying at one stage last night that it was the start of labour which I guess would freak me out a little given that I now have to have a caesarean!

Well, they do say that it's a sign of your body's natural preparation for labour, so I think it's quite possible, not that I'm an expert.

    Keep us posted.

Thanks for that, is what I was thinking. However I think it is actually a mild gastro sort of bug. I was kept awake all night last night with my stomach making constant really loud gurgling noises and kept getting up thinking i was going to have an accident but just ended up passing really foul wind - and every time I rolled over it was like my stomach was full of gas and the pressure of rolling over would let out this foul eggy burp. Was really gross - have only managed to eat a piece of toast today because I just feel so wrank!

At exactly 37 weeks I sat on the toilet for a day & and a half, convinced I'd eaten something bad.. rang the hospital, and they said there's a bug going around.. but my waters broke the next day .. so it was definitely prelabour for me! My body certainly cleaned itself out in preparation hehe.

    Good luck!

You could try charcoal tablets. They can help with the wind
