    Hey,

Not sure about the work stuff.. If you feel over-tired or that you are doing too much you need to rest/ take a break.

Have you thought about slowly cutting hours down or taking more breaks for fresh air/food during the day? This all depends on how flexible your work is of course.

With leg cramps.. Ive had a few shockers but been quite lucky. I do sympathise with you though!.. Things people suggested to me was:

    1. Increase salt intake
    2. Warm bath before bed
    3. Massage before bed and when you wake up (Great for DP to spoil you!!)
    4. Take short walks everyday (Just to the corner of the block and back)

    Hope these help sweet! xox

Are you able to work from home one day a week? My boss let me do this from about 25 weeks and it helped heaps. I did it on Wednesdays, so it broke the week up and gave me a chance to have lots of mini breaks during the day.

Nov-Bubs08 - I too was really tired throughtout my pregnancy especially working full time by the end of the week. My GP and naturopath had me on iron supplements and I found these to be very helpful and worked full time up to 36 weeks (behind a desk ofcourse). The naturopath also has me on magnesium which helps with the cramps, I have only had one since starting this. So it might be worth asking about these things? Good luck

I can't help with advice about tiredness but my friend recommended eating bananas to help with leg cramps.

I too have been really tired with this pregnancy and I don't work (away from home that is). By 2pm I'm really flagging and have to have a sleep. I don't often get it because of my dd (19 months) who likes full attention when she is awake and trying to keep up on the housework for the 6 of us is a nightmare.

I have gone back on the Elevit tablets and they seem to have eased the leg cramps. Like you I was being woken up with them. I think I was low in vits and mins.

    Good luck

Definitely - I'm 32 weeks and 3pm is a killer time of day for me. I try to make sure I've got a snack to have at about that time, it really helps to tide me over until the end of the day. If I can I take a little break, but I think the boost in sugars is what does it!

I've been having bad calf cramps too - haven't found anything that helps...

    Good luck

Tiredness gets the better of me too - but I'm lucky enough to have a nap on the couch when I wish to.

I asked my OB about the leg cramps because they were really Sh*tting me off!! He's told me to get more calcium into me - and he said that if that didn't help (coz I'm a bit restricted as to how much I can eat due to Gestational Diabetes), he said to go to the chemist and get some calcium suppliments like in tablet form or something.

By following his advice, I haven't had any more issues with leg cramps waking me up in the middle of the night! just waking up for other reasons now!!

I hate to say it but if you are that tired already chances are you will be more tired as you get more advanced so working full time to due date may not be possible. The tiredness didn't hit me until about 35 weeks. Carrying the extra weight does tire you out.

I worked til 37 weeks and it was about one week too long. I gave birth 1 week & 4 days before my due date. The last week at work I had to drag myself around. I was so tired and had swollen ankles and feet. It was such a relief to get off my feet and sit at home. You may need to reconsider your plans to work so late. Very few women manage to work right up til their due date. Most of the women in my BB buddy group finished up before me and they were all younger than me.

As for the cramps - I only had two throughout my pregnancy and attribute it to the use of Tums for my indigestion. They contain calcium which is what some doctors will tell you to take if you are having problems with cramps.

As for the leg cramps, check with your doc but i suffered the same thing and doc told me to get 'Blackmores Bio Magnesium' i havent had a cramp since, i still get the sensation but then i just flex my foot backwards and it goes away, whatever you do dont point your toes it only makes it worse. Good luck darl, i feel for ya, really i do... lol
