i've never heard that about excessive hiccups. my baby used to have them at least once a day for about 15-20 minutes each time i think. that heartrate sounds pretty much spot on. my dr never mentioned reporting an increase in hiccups but if something really bothers you, then there's no harm in checking with your dr - it's always better to have peace of mind
the rolling & stretching is normal - as they run out of room they can't kick so much. it's crazy watching the baby roll & your whole belly move.
i am 32 weeks this week, and bubs regulary gets hiccups, up to twice a day for maybe as long as 10-15 minutes.
i have never heard about reporting excessive hiccups before, but my first bub never really got them much at all. i have only ever heard that hiccups are healthy lung practice for them, but you cannot always believe what you are told or hear.
Hi, welcome to BB and congrats on your pregnancy.
DD used to get hiccups all the time, when i was in bed at night , she would wake me up with them, if i got up and walked around they seemed to stop. she probably got them three times a day sometimes. only lasted about ten mins and they would stop. right at the end my DH could put his hand on my tummy and feel her hiccuping too!
I mentioned it to my doc and she said it was nothing to worry about, i think she actually laughed at me for asking but like sloane said, its better to ask someone you trust and who knows (ie. your doc) to put any worries out of your mind!!
DD still hiccups quite alot now, so i think shes just prone to it.
Hi Lana, Welcome to BB and Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Both my DS's used to get hiccups all the time, more so towards the end of the pregnancy but i was never told that there was any reason to be concerned by it, if your feeling a little uneasy or worried at all it might be a good idea to speak to your OB at your next check up to put your mind at ease.
Thanks girls I greatly appreciate ur replays.
My baby seems to get hiccups regularly, each day at same time ( or when she's move active..strange hm..) Yesterday and today they increased a bit..
I'll surely talk to my doctor on Tuesday.I dont want to call him now, after hours or call the hospital coz im sure they will laugh at me.
I know im being paranoiac so I'm staying away from Google. However,I'm very thankful for ur posts and I mean it
I thought the same thing, Bubs would get hiccups at least 3 or 4 times a day especially after I had water or dairy I thought there was something wrong as this is my first pregnancy, I recently spent a week in hospital where I was on the moniter and Bubs got the hiccups again, and again, I told the midwife what happens all the time, and she said its a common thing and not to worry too much at all...
She did say that apparently a baby with excessive foetal hiccups can be prone to them as a child...that was all she mentioned to me...
DD had excessive hiccups during my pregnancy and even had them when I went into labour. She had them bad as a newborn and still gets them now at 5months. Its more frustrating and annoying. But I'm not aware of any issues linked to this though. All the best for the rest of your pregnancy.
