The acupuncture sounds like just what you need, babe A chance to lie down and have someone look after you.
Like Amy and Bath said, think about holding your baby. Don't think too much about being in labour - you WILL cope spectacularly with being in labour, so just don't think about it now. Think about how every day you are one day closer to meeting your precious baby
Can you have a massage as well? (Might blow out the budget a bit, I realise, but even if your DH can give you a lovely back rub in the bath tonight or something else relaxing that may help!)
Chin up, mate. You are going to be amazing, stunning, a birthing goddess. Enjoy these last moments of pregnancy as much as you can *mwa*

Some people believe that being overdue can sometimes be attributed to unresolved feelings of fear or repressed anxiety over the birth.

What it sounds like to me is that you are letting these emotions out and are working on them and getting yourself to a good psychological and physical place to birth, and that things will happen for you soon. Treat your emotion like a catharsis, an emotional enema if you like, pouring out that negative stuff into your tissues and your pillow so that you'll be cleansed and energised for what's to come. Let it all out, and happy birthing!!
