KURAIZA They put me on a 11 day course of antibiotics which I finish today. But from here I need to avoid sex (well that's not hard to avoid considering my environment) & avoid baths (there's no bath here). Then they just monitor my temperature to ensure it doesn't rise. Plus bubs heartrate can show signs of infection if it's too high. I have these observations checked every 4 hours.
RENSTAR I did enjoy my walk, but it was dark so no vitamin D here. Though it looks nice & sunny today so I might sit outside for a while
JODI Thanks. Bub is back to his usual bouncy self today. And not too many BH today either
AMBER I'm just so keen to get back to Tims care. This Ob doesn't compare to him
HOLLYE / SNOOPS Thanks... Everyday is a blessing
I had to have another 20mins on the CTG today as when they did my Obs at 10.30 bubs heartbeat kept missing a beat when the midwife checked with the doppler. The Ob didn't seem to care. He said it was normal but the midwife wanted to be sure so she put the CTG on. It was all fine. Bub mustn't like the sound of his own heartbeat cause he always goes crazy when the CTG or doppler is on him.
How special Tuesday week will be. September 2nd is my wedding anniversary (1 year) plus I will hit 34 weeks on that day too. I only just realised that this morning. So now there's even more of a reason for bub to hang on till then. It's a shame DH & I will have to celebrate in the hospital cafeteria instead of the beautiful hotel in surfers that we were planning. It's amazing how life can throw these curve balls at you. I had such a romantic night planned too. Bummer! I'm guessing they'll transfer me back to Pindara on the day.
Lunch will be here any minute now. I'll check in a little later today
Sounds like you've had a good day. You have such a positive outlook on it all, which I think is fantastic.
Our first DD was born on our first year wedding anniversary. Bummer you couldn't celebrate it elsewhere. You'll just have to do something special once bub has arrived and you're all back home safe and sound.
ANTHEIA Wow, the same wedding anniversay. That's great
JODI Yeah, I am feeling really good about things
I've had a bit of a busy day today. I woke up at 5.30am (or should I say I was woken up), got out of bed at 6.30 & had a coffee & played on the internet. I ended up napping again from 8.30 to 9.30am. Just read the paper (they deliver the paper to me everyday) & some more internet, had morning tea then lunch, then met Jane at 1pm. We went & got a hot chocolate & sat outside in the sun chatting & getting to know each other. She seems to be coping quite well too. Then DH & his brother arrived about 1.45pm so we said goodbye to Jane & went back to hang out in my room. DH left around 4pm so I napped again. Had dinner & here I am..... So that's how my days tend to travell.
Jane & I have arranged to meet at 1pm every day for some sunshine & some chin wagging. That should help my days go a little faster.
I've been getting more braxton hicks today. Just the usual. Bub is moving heaps again though so I'm not concerned.
Georgi, great to hear your getting out in the sunshine with Jane, she sounds nice and it must be great to have someone to talk too! Hope all's going well and it's great to hear that 34 weeks is your wedding anniversary! Hope your heading back to your local hospital by then I've still got my fingers, toes and legs crossed for you!
Take care!!!!
Snoopea
I was woken up at 4.30am by the midwife to take my obs & I couldn't get back to sleep. How annoying. It's not like there's anything on TV on a Sunday morning (it is Sunday isn't it?) either.
So now I have to read birth stories on BB. I'm up to page 18 now. Pretty good huh!
I was suppose to have a christening to attend today. DH is going without me
32 + 5 today.. Yippee. Day 12. Only 2 more days to hit that 14 day mark, woohoo.
