Congratulations on making it to 33 weeks! I hope you get to move back to your hospital soon and that the little guy continues to snuggle in nice and tight for a bit longer.
Just wanted to say congrats to making 33 weeks! Im due the same day as you:) hopeing your lil one stays put for a while longer.
Simone:)
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! 33 weeks today and the magical 14 day mark!!!
Congratz on 33 weeks hun!
With regards to your BH and fluid loss, the BH could be causing you to lose more fluid because the contractions would be squeezing it out more, if that makes sense. Anyways, hopfully you get transfered soon!
Happy 33 weeks!!!! :happyforyou:
Congratulations on making it to 33 weeks :D
how are u now Georgi?? have u spoken to the midwife?
Thanks again girls. I'm so pleased to be still here.
Yep, I spoke to the midwives & they seem to think that it could be early signs of labour but it just as easily couldn't. I lost an awful lot last night, filled more than 2 thick surfboard maternity pads & even made it to the toilet for the first break. If I didn't it would've been everywhere. Though I've had hardly any fluid loss today. It's just been a few dribbles really. I think bub must've moved out of position. One of the trainee midwifes thinks it bub could've have a growth spurt. My tummy is getting so huge now. I can't believe how much it's grown in the last two weeks. He must be still thriving in there.
The Ob came to visit this morning & wasn't fussed at all about the loss. He asked if bub was still active & I said yes & he said well alls good then. He also feels that I WON'T BE having this baby in this hospital. So he's confident I have at least another week left in me. That's reassuring to hear. 34 weeks...... here we come! I'll find out this week sometime if my Ob at Pindara wants me as an in patient or if i'll be sent home for monitoring.
The midwife that was on last night & this morning suggested I rest up today & that I don't go outside with Jane. So Jane came in my room for nearly an hour so we had a little chat. I've just been laying around all day & had an hour & a half snooze. DH came to visit before he started work. He stayed about 2.5hrs. As it turns out he's off work next week (he gets a week off every 8 weeks as part of his roster - shift worker). So that's great timing for my transfer back to the Gold Coast.
Well dinner should be here any minute. Have I mentioned that the food here is great? And you can order as much as you like too. I must say that I'm enjoying that part. The desert & morning & afternoon teas are great too. But I try to avoid all the cakes now, even though they're sooooo yummy!
Congratulations on making the 33week mark!!
Whoo hoo!
:happyforyou:
xoxo.
great to heat things are still well.. hears hoping for 34 weeks!!! :D:D:D
Georgi, that's great news, lets hope it's not early signs of labor and your little man hangs in there for another week!:)
Snoopea
33 weeks = only 3 weeks and 28 days until your original due date :)
Georgi I'm so happy that you have made it this far, your doing a wonderful job keeping that little man of yours safe and sound, only 7 days until your closer to home, yay.
hugs xoxo
Hey Georgi,
Congrats on 33 weeks! That's just fab!
:happyforyou:
You are doing such a wonderful job, and only 7 days to go. I hope you get your "outside" time today too. And that's so sweet that the midwife is helping give you some info since you've missed the classes.
KURAIZA Lol, that's a good way to put it
Thanks again for the well wishes.
Today is day 15. Woohoo, we did it. Another milestone hit! See, I told you all I'd show that Ob that I WOULD NOT be having this baby in 14 days. I truely believe all your lovely support & encouragement has played a part. Thank you all so much.
Thankfully I had only minimal fluid loss overnight, however it has turned to a pink tinge. I am wondering what that means. I asked the midwife, although she is such a lovely lady, she said it would be better to talk to my Ob about it. She wouldn't make comment on what she thought it meant. It's probably nothing, I hope.
They have craft for 3 hours this morning. I wasn't going to go cause DH will be here around 11.30 but then I realised I can just leave early. It's from 9 to 12. I didn't know about it last week but Jane told me all about it. They made cards last week. So I think i'm gonna check it out.
Also that meeting is meant to be on at 1pm but I'm definately not going cause DH will be here till about 2pm. I'd much rather hang out with him.
You could make a Father's day card :)
:hooray: You and bubby are doing sooo well hun! I hope the pink tinge turns out to be nothing and you have fun at craft today! Nic's idea is great- wish I'd thought of it myself ;)
Thinking of you Georgi - you are doing wonderfully!
Congratulations on proving them wrong Georgi, hope you enjoy your time with DH, I'd be going insane if hubby and the kiddies weren't with me. I balled my eyes out when they left the friday they kept me in hospital over night. I don't take it well when they're not around. In 6 years of marriage we've been apart only 6 nights, four were when i had Britney, one was for a snapper fishing trip and the other my hospital stay! It's worse with the kids, if they stay anywhere I ring the minute I wake up to make sure that they're ok!
Anyways hope it's good news from the ob today,
Take care,

I totally understand, Snoopea. The only time my husband and I have been apart (for more than 2 days since we met) was when he went to his uncle's funeral in the USA and was gone 10 days, I cried constantly (because I was in the middle of trying to move interstate and the removalists were killing me). I'd be driving along and I'd suddenly start watering up "Waaah, where's my husband?" I wasn't even in hospital!!
Georgi is one strong lady!
I hope the pink tinge doesn't mean anything. Great to hear you only had minimal loss overnight. Have fun with the card making, just in time for Fathers Day too!
Hey girls...
I decided not to go to the craft as I didn't want to miss my Obs visit. I'm really glad I didn't either.
He arrived around 11am & didn't seem concerned. But he knew I was a little so he got the portable ultra sound machine & took a look & said my cervix seemed to be closed. Phew! He also said there was still plenty of fluid around the baby & showed us bubs full bladder.
I haven't had much loss at all today & the few drops i've had are back to clear again. So I think it's safe to say we're still hanging on.... Yay!
I went to visit Jane for an hour or so. We exchanged phone numbers just in case I do go into labour overnight. She's heading back to Pindara on Sunday so I'll only have a day or so without her. We've been comparing bellies & mine has definately grown over the past few days. Even a couple of the midwifes that I haven't seen since I was admitted into hospital have commented on how much my bump has grown. Hmmmm, I wonder if it's all the tucker I'm eating???? I'd rather think that it's bub growing big & strong like a good boy.
Hi Georgi! I've been keeping an eye on your progress, from a distance :P I'm really glad to see how far you've made it and yup... PROVED 'EM WRONG!! Pffft what would they know ;) lol. It sounds like you're bub is doing great and you really have done so well :) Hope to see it continue that way.
Congratulations Georgi!!!
I know it was sooner than you would have liked, but what a beautiful day for you! I feel a little bit emotional on your behalf knowing that your big pregnancy journey has completed and you have a little baby boy. Byron is such a cute name.

and thats so true mother instincts know best u thought he would come last night.
i hope he is doing well and you to and excited to hear more.
(You were almost at the same gest my Nixon was born 33w3d and he was 5lb 1oz!)
Hi.. Just a quick one from me....
Byron is going great guns! He skipped the NICU & went straight to special care. He came out (vaginally) screaming those steriod filled lungs out. The little tube is his for his feeding & fluids. He's on a drip too for the antibiotics. I started to show signs of infection which the Ob says put me into labour. They as Byrons heartrate was high & my temp was climbing they wanted to get him out quick. They put me on the synitocin (sp?) drip throughout the labour so it was so so intense. And yes, I went the epidural. I was confined to the bed as I had to have continuos CTG. Only a few big pushes & he was out. No stitches... But the midwife tells me it's due to his size, so I can't take any credit. But my recovery has been fantastic. I was on a drip for 24 hours so they could pump 3 different antibiotics into me. My temp is fine now & I'm just on 2, oral, antibiotics.
They say he will be out of his humidity crib today. We are so proud of him
I'm looking forward to getting my birth story up & running & will do so in due time.
Thanks again to you all for your wonderful support.
Georgi xxx
Well done and CONGRATULATIONS :D
It looks like you will be joining my belly/baby group after all, like you said earlier :)
I am so happy he is doing well and you are too :D
congratulations Georgi, he sounds like a strong and determined little fella. you've done so well, so make sure you give yourself some TLC too.
Hi girls,
Another quickie from me. We are doing great. Byron was transferred to Pindara Hospital last night so I am finally home. I'm going to the hospital twice a day to bathe & try a breast feed. My milk has come in in abundance so there is definately no shortage. I saw a lactation consultant as I had an over supply, but it's all going good now. Byron sometimes has a good suckle, other times he's more interested in sleeping. He lost 90grams in the first 4 days but had put on 17g at his last weigh in. The docs are saying he's perfect & going great guns for his gestation. He'll still be in hospital for at least another 3 weeks yet.
DH & I are just in awe of him. His beautiful. I promise i'll up load some pics real soon
xxx
Awww Georgi - sounds like you are both going great hun!! Well done on the feeding and can't wait to see your pics!! Take care! xox
That sounds fantastic and congratulations. How wonderful!
Georgi, congratulations hun. Wow, I missed all of this excitement. Glad to hear that Byron is doing so well. I hope the time flies by and you have him home soon so that you can gaze at him all day and night, ahem, like I have been doing LOL.. xx

Georgi, that is fantastic news! You certainly have a little fighter there. Can't wait to see pics of your little man :)
Congratulations Georgi, i am so glad that everything is going well, you did a great job you should be proud of your self!!!!!
Hi everyone,
I have uploaded some pics of our beautiful boy, in my gallery.
Unfortunately I'm not well. I developed mastitis overnight, in my right breast, & have a fever of 38.7 I am back on the antibiotics & are expressing the right breast every 3 hours again. I've had an oversupply of milk & changed from pumping both breasts to alternating the breasts every 3 hours. The nurses think that's what has caused it. It is horrific. I would never have thought I could feel so bad.
On a good note, Byron had another great feed off my good breast today. So it won't be long before he's taking 2 feeds a day off the breast. We'll then try to get him to take every 2nd feed off the breast & slowly build it up from there. He put on 40g at his weigh in this morning so he's doing fab.
