Thinking of you hun.. hang in there little man. xox
i got an email from her earlier. She just hasnt been on line much today as she has been snoozing on and off all day and her and DH were going out for a walk so she just hasnt been bothered jumping online.. we all get like that ay.. she needs all the rest she can get..
I'm here... It's just that everytime I have logged in to BB someone has come in to my room so I haven't had the chance to post. It's so strange, I have all the time in the world yet can't seem to get everything done lol.
I've had a handful of friends ring to see how I was so that has also taken up quite alot of time.
There was a new midwive today, well one I haven't met yet, and we spent lots of time talking about birth. She teaches the pre natal classes & when I told her we missed ours she was happy to have a chat. It was great.
I'm still stable. Temp, BP & heartrates are all good. Bub has been a little quiet today which has only concerned me as I've read that they go quiet just before labour starts. I also had alot of BH & tightenings yesterday & this morning plus getting some mild period pain again. But today hasn't been as bad. I had quite a lot of fluid loss overnight too. I feel pretty ok though.
DH came to visit, as he does everyday, & I decided I wanted to go outside. For the first time in 10 days. It was so weird. We took a really slow walk to the local IGA express so I could get some more maternity pads & I wanted to get more face wash but they didn't have what I wanted so I sent DH home with the empty tube to buy it for me tomorrow. I told him to not bother coming to visit me tomorrow. It's his rostered day off so I don't want him to travel 3 hours just to see me. He's tired from working & travelling so I hope he stays at home & recovers. Also his brother is up from Sydney for the weekend (staying at our house) so he should spend tomorrow with him.
I've organised to meet my new friend (from room 904) Jane for coffee tomorrow at 1pm. We decided to go downstairs to the coffee shop for a chin wag. That'll keep me entertained for a while anyway.
I'm feeling very good about things. I will feel even better once I hit that 14 day mark. Only 4 days to go now. But I am ok with it if bub decides he wants to come. Ideally he'll wait till I hit 34 wks.
Thanks again to you all for all your encouragement. I'm so sure it's playing a crucial part in bub hanging on. xxx
Georgi  glad yours and bubs stats are good.... all is well. Super!
I bet you enjoyed the walk outside! The vitamin D outside would have done you very good from the sunlight.....
Enjoy having coffee with Jane tomorrow! Sounds like something you both will enjoy, can sit and have a nice chat together about everything....
I'm glad you got to talk to that lady about prenatal stuff seeing as you missed the classes. I'm sure alot of the info you would receive at prenatal classes would also be in the books you have read too so i reckon you are very prepared Georgi you've done alot of research etc.
Talk soon buddy
Sounds like everything is coming along nicely still. I hope the increased b/h or lack of movements don't eventuate into labour.
Enjoy your coffee with Jane today.
11 days since your waters broke. It's amazing, I think.
Can I ask a question out of curiosity. How do they keep down your risk of infection? Is there something special you do, or just being in hospital in a sterile environment is enough?
Hooray Georgi!!
I am so impressed, you're doing soooooo well!
That little guy is one special boy, doing all the right things for mummy already :D
It's wonderful you've met someone from the GC, great to have someone to chat to!
Congratulations again
Amber

WOOOHOOOO 32+4 today!!! u go girl!! :D:D:D:D
Hollye, I second that!!!!!:)
:hug:WELL DONE GEORGI,
Hang in there hun everyday is one closer to that 34 week mark!!!!!!!
Snoopea
Thanks again girls..
KURAIZA They put me on a 11 day course of antibiotics which I finish today. But from here I need to avoid sex (well that's not hard to avoid considering my environment) & avoid baths (there's no bath here). Then they just monitor my temperature to ensure it doesn't rise. Plus bubs heartrate can show signs of infection if it's too high. I have these observations checked every 4 hours.
RENSTAR I did enjoy my walk, but it was dark so no vitamin D here. Though it looks nice & sunny today so I might sit outside for a while
JODI Thanks. Bub is back to his usual bouncy self today. And not too many BH today either
AMBER I'm just so keen to get back to Tims care. This Ob doesn't compare to him
HOLLYE / SNOOPS Thanks... Everyday is a blessing
I had to have another 20mins on the CTG today as when they did my Obs at 10.30 bubs heartbeat kept missing a beat when the midwife checked with the doppler. The Ob didn't seem to care. He said it was normal but the midwife wanted to be sure so she put the CTG on. It was all fine. Bub mustn't like the sound of his own heartbeat cause he always goes crazy when the CTG or doppler is on him.
How special Tuesday week will be. September 2nd is my wedding anniversary (1 year) plus I will hit 34 weeks on that day too. I only just realised that this morning. So now there's even more of a reason for bub to hang on till then. It's a shame DH & I will have to celebrate in the hospital cafeteria instead of the beautiful hotel in surfers that we were planning. It's amazing how life can throw these curve balls at you. I had such a romantic night planned too. Bummer! I'm guessing they'll transfer me back to Pindara on the day.
Lunch will be here any minute now. I'll check in a little later today
xxxx
Sounds like you've had a good day. You have such a positive outlook on it all, which I think is fantastic.
Our first DD was born on our first year wedding anniversary. Bummer you couldn't celebrate it elsewhere. You'll just have to do something special once bub has arrived and you're all back home safe and sound.
So glad things are still going well for you.
Our 2nd wedding anniversary is also on 2nd September!
ANTHEIA Wow, the same wedding anniversay. That's great
JODI Yeah, I am feeling really good about things
I've had a bit of a busy day today. I woke up at 5.30am (or should I say I was woken up), got out of bed at 6.30 & had a coffee & played on the internet. I ended up napping again from 8.30 to 9.30am. Just read the paper (they deliver the paper to me everyday) & some more internet, had morning tea then lunch, then met Jane at 1pm. We went & got a hot chocolate & sat outside in the sun chatting & getting to know each other. She seems to be coping quite well too. Then DH & his brother arrived about 1.45pm so we said goodbye to Jane & went back to hang out in my room. DH left around 4pm so I napped again. Had dinner & here I am..... So that's how my days tend to travell.
Jane & I have arranged to meet at 1pm every day for some sunshine & some chin wagging. That should help my days go a little faster.
I've been getting more braxton hicks today. Just the usual. Bub is moving heaps again though so I'm not concerned.
glad all is going so well, and you have someone to talk to:hug:
Georgi, great to hear your getting out in the sunshine with Jane, she sounds nice and it must be great to have someone to talk too! Hope all's going well and it's great to hear that 34 weeks is your wedding anniversary! Hope your heading back to your local hospital by then I've still got my fingers, toes and legs crossed for you! :)
Take care!!!!

I was woken up at 4.30am by the midwife to take my obs & I couldn't get back to sleep. How annoying. It's not like there's anything on TV on a Sunday morning (it is Sunday isn't it?) either.
So now I have to read birth stories on BB. I'm up to page 18 now. Pretty good huh!
I was suppose to have a christening to attend today. DH is going without me :(
32 + 5 today.. Yippee. Day 12. Only 2 more days to hit that 14 day mark, woohoo.
Woohoo, Georgi, on only two days to go to achieving that two week marker!!
And grrrr at being woken so early. Me too - but because my neighbours from hell decided that 4:30am would be a good time to chop wood for their fire!!! And they chop the firewood on my side of the house. And then they were back out to chop a little more at 6:30am. Sigh...
Looking forward to reading your birth story, Georgi! In a few weeks, preferably :p
:dance:Go Georgi!!!! Wow those days are flying:dance:, sorry to hear Dh had to go without you today!:(
Wow you we're up before me today, nice of them to let you sleep in!
Yes it's sunday and no theres never anything on tv, well not here anyway!
Are you meeting Jane today? Hope so it'll give you the much needed break from that hospital room!:)
I started to read some of the stories on here, but alot i started to read were heartbreaking thought I'd better wait till after bubs here!
Snoopea
kbowman,
Gotta love neighbours!
I'd be throwing wood at them if they were making that much noise early in the morning!
Snoopea
Hey georgi!
Just logging on to check all is well with you and the little guy  i see it is.... that's great! Sorry you got woken so early that's so annoying!
I wasn't online yesterday so couldn't check up on you but i knew all would be fine for you anyway.... bubs isn't ready to come out yet.....
Glad you enjoyed your coffee date with Jane! That would have been fun! xx
you are soooo close to 33wks now!!! YAY!!!!
All's been good today. My GF & her DH came to visit & spent 2.5 hours here. That was great. We looked through their recent wedding pics & just hung out.
At 2.30 I met up with Jane & we went outside again. It's nice to see the sun. We chatted until 4pm then I just watched a DVD of my GF's DH's show. He's a Hypnotist & does stage shows. It was a 2 hour show so that kept me entertained.
The Ob came to see me this morning & said he's gonna call my Ob at Pindara & find out exactly when he wants me back there. I'm still guessing it'll be once I hit 34 weeks but kinda hoping he says sooner. I think I should know by tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll get a better night sleep tonight. Will check in again tomorrow.
G xx
Hi Georgi, Hope you get that good night sleep your after, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they'll take you back to your local hospital sooner! Great to see that your keeping yourself busy...... I'd have gone insane by now if they'd kept me in, especially with the kiddies i hate spending the night away from them!:)
Snoopea
SNOOPS, I must say I'm very very lucky that I don't have kids yet. It would be so hard. There's a women here from Rockhampton who's been here for 8 weeks & she's got 2 kids. The poor lady
I had a fairly good sleep, yippee. I woke up at 2am to go to the toilet so I rang the midwife & asked her to do my Obs seeming I was awake anyway. She said she was gonna come in at 3am so it's lucky I buzzed her. It did take me a while to back to sleep, but that's nothing new, then I woke up at 7am. Yay....
DH is coming to visit today then I'm meeting Jane for our daily sunshine.
32 + 6 today. Wow, haven't I come a long way. I'm so happy to be 33 weeks tomorrow. And tomorrow is Day 14. Woohoo.
Please hang on little one.....
Wow Georgi, you've made us so proud.... 33 weeks tomorrow is a huge achievement!!!!!
Hope you enjoy your daily sunshine with Jane, sounds like you guys have alot to talk about and it's getting you both out of your rooms!!!!
Just think one more week till you can head back to your local hospital, I've got my fingers crossed that they take you back sooner!
Takecare of yourself!
Big hugs for you and bub!!!!!:hug:
Snoopea
Keep keeping those legs crossed :D
You're doing a great job Georgi - 33 weeks tonorrow :woot:, looks like you are going to really prove them wrong!!
Glad to hear you are getting out of your room, I spent 11 days in (6 as a border with Nakita) but omg it is very bizarre going outside for the first time, the most I went outside for the first 7 days was leaving WCH, getting in to the transfer vehicle - which was waiting at the front doors, then when we got to NECH out of the vehicle and staight in the front doors!!!
When I went home on day 7 to pick up my car and some things it was a very bizarre feeling!!
Try to keep some of the "normality" going!!
Keep strong xxoo
You're doing a fabulous job there Georgi - only 1 more day to reach your target - you can do it
Well done Georgi! You sure have shown those doctors!
Well done Georgi :) You and bub are doing so well!
Hang in there little man! You are both doing super well hun! You hang in there too - I'm so glad you have wireless and a friend to keep you sane! :)
TANSTAR You're not wrong, this wireless is awsome!
NADINE, ANTHEIA, DIANNA, KURAIZA Thanks so much for your encouragement
BEEMA Yeah I was bizzare going outside after 10days. It's seemed a bit surreal. I've made the pact to go outside everyday for at least am hour. It keeps it real.
SNOOPS Yep, we are never short on conversation thats for sure.
DH came to visit today. I miss him.... He stayed about 2.5hours then had to go to work :( Once he left I went to collect Jane & we sat outside for 1.5 hours. It was a beautiful day here in Brissy too.
The Ob is going to ring my Pindara Ob, this week, to see if he wants me to go straight to Pindara or to go home & see him in his rooms. I'm looking forward to getting the answer to that one. It just means if I go home I will need to monitor myself by checking my temperature every 4 hours & going straight to the hospital if signs of infection start to show. Though I know my Ob at Pindara is very conservative & may want to be safe rather than sorry. Either way, I'm happy. Plus he also said that I won't need to transfer in an ambulance. I should be able to get DH to pick me up & take me back.
There's a midwife on shift tonight who is really helpful. She knows I wasn't able to do my pre natal classes & has spent some time in my room discussing labour, pain relief etc. She's been very helpful.
I'm off to watch Idol. So glad it's back on. It's so funny!
You are doing so well Georgi!! I've been following your story the past couple of weeks and I can't believe how far you and your bubba have come!! :cheer: for 33 weeks tomorrow... keep holding on little one!
Georgi,
You poor thing it must be horrible being away from DH for so long, hopefully they'll let you go home if even if only for a few hours! Give that belly a rub from us and tell your precious bub that he's doing a wonderful job, one week to go tomorrow to 34!
Take care,
Snoopea
only 1 hr early but happy 33rd week yayyyyy!!
happy 33 weeks :D
:cheer::cheer::woot:33 weeks today YAY!!!!!:woot::cheer::cheer:
Congrats Georgi, you've made us so proud!!!! Welldone!

Thanks girls.. Can you believe it. It's been 14 days since my waters broke. Wow, I must say, I'm pretty chuffed with myself. I just hope the lil fella holds on.
I seem to be getting alot of Braxton Hicks & am leaking alot of fluid. I don't know if that means anything, if it's a sign that things are getting started, I'm not sure. I'll have to ask the midwifes today.
I had a fairly decent sleep. I've learnt now that when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, to call the midwife to do my obs, that way I don't get woken again. That's working much better for me cause I'm awake anyway.
:woot: Yeah Georgi!!
:cheer: 33 weeks today :cheer:
You are doing so well, I hope you get your early transfer!! Crossing my fingers for ya!!
