I totally understand, Snoopea. The only time my husband and I have been apart (for more than 2 days since we met) was when he went to his uncle's funeral in the USA and was gone 10 days, I cried constantly (because I was in the middle of trying to move interstate and the removalists were killing me). I'd be driving along and I'd suddenly start watering up "Waaah, where's my husband?" I wasn't even in hospital!!

    Georgi is one strong lady!

I hope the pink tinge doesn't mean anything. Great to hear you only had minimal loss overnight. Have fun with the card making, just in time for Fathers Day too!

    Hey girls...

I decided not to go to the craft as I didn't want to miss my Obs visit. I'm really glad I didn't either.

He arrived around 11am & didn't seem concerned. But he knew I was a little so he got the portable ultra sound machine & took a look & said my cervix seemed to be closed. Phew! He also said there was still plenty of fluid around the baby & showed us bubs full bladder.

I haven't had much loss at all today & the few drops i've had are back to clear again. So I think it's safe to say we're still hanging on.... Yay!

I went to visit Jane for an hour or so. We exchanged phone numbers just in case I do go into labour overnight. She's heading back to Pindara on Sunday so I'll only have a day or so without her. We've been comparing bellies & mine has definately grown over the past few days. Even a couple of the midwifes that I haven't seen since I was admitted into hospital have commented on how much my bump has grown. Hmmmm, I wonder if it's all the tucker I'm eating???? I'd rather think that it's bub growing big & strong like a good boy.

    Congratulations Georgi!!!

I know it was sooner than you would have liked, but what a beautiful day for you! I feel a little bit emotional on your behalf knowing that your big pregnancy journey has completed and you have a little baby boy. Byron is such a cute name.

You knew he would be born over night. Great instinct! Hope you're enjoying every moment of being a mummy!

Hi.. Just a quick one from me....

Byron is going great guns! He skipped the NICU & went straight to special care. He came out (vaginally) screaming those steriod filled lungs out. The little tube is his for his feeding & fluids. He's on a drip too for the antibiotics. I started to show signs of infection which the Ob says put me into labour. They as Byrons heartrate was high & my temp was climbing they wanted to get him out quick. They put me on the synitocin (sp?) drip throughout the labour so it was so so intense. And yes, I went the epidural. I was confined to the bed as I had to have continuos CTG. Only a few big pushes & he was out. No stitches... But the midwife tells me it's due to his size, so I can't take any credit. But my recovery has been fantastic. I was on a drip for 24 hours so they could pump 3 different antibiotics into me. My temp is fine now & I'm just on 2, oral, antibiotics.

They say he will be out of his humidity crib today. We are so proud of him

I'm looking forward to getting my birth story up & running & will do so in due time.

Thanks again to you all for your wonderful support.

    Georgi xxx

    Hi girls,
Another quickie from me. We are doing great. Byron was transferred to Pindara Hospital last night so I am finally home. I'm going to the hospital twice a day to bathe & try a breast feed. My milk has come in in abundance so there is definately no shortage. I saw a lactation consultant as I had an over supply, but it's all going good now. Byron sometimes has a good suckle, other times he's more interested in sleeping. He lost 90grams in the first 4 days but had put on 17g at his last weigh in. The docs are saying he's perfect & going great guns for his gestation. He'll still be in hospital for at least another 3 weeks yet.

DH & I are just in awe of him. His beautiful. I promise i'll up load some pics real soon
