Thanks everyone for your tips & support - I'm at work at the moment, so some of them I can't quite get to, but the good news is that I have finally had some wriggling around in there, so I'm a lot more relaxed than I was a couple of hours ago. So far I've been really healthy & lucky as far as being pg goes, so I guess this quiet time just played on my mind a bit much. I thought that maybe I was getting some negative karma my way, because on Tuesday I was telling my OB how relaxed I'm feeling about things. Ha - this will teach me!

I've put DP on notice to give said child a stern talking to tonight - it's not too early for lessons to be learnt regarding how to treat your mother kiddo!

    Smile Some things to try...

Play some music to your tummy, something with lots of drumming or a loud bass.
Get DP to talk to your tummy and blow raspberries on it!
Change positions when lying down, go from lying on one side to the other, and see if baby moves...

This is all I can think of besides the other suggestions for now...will come back if I think of more!

    Oh jan,

I am trying to think of what i have been doing that my bubs moves for me.

    1. Go for a swim in the pool
    2. drink freezing cold drinks/ice
    3. go for a walk
    4. have a bath
    5. Have sex - give it a go

I can't think of any more at the moment!

Think of it this way Bubba might be a really good sleeper and sleep for 12 hrs straight as soon as he/she is born, wouldn't that be bliss !

I am sure everything is A ok and he/she is resting for now until you want to go to sleep maybe? lol

I discovered this by accident ! I had a heat pack onto my belly coz I had some pain like period pain and when the heat pack got too hot for me I took it off and the baby went crazy!! Then it settled down, and I needed the heat pack back on again. Then again it got too hot and took it off and the baby went crazy again. So I just kept playing with it till the baby got bored of it.
Try that, maybe that will help. I've got a kick chart from my hospital and I notice that in the last 4 days I can't make it to 10 in 12 hours. Mainly it gets up to 7-8. I found after the 12 hours is up, I'm on the couch with my feet up and it starts dancing then.

hope this helps. If your worried go to the emergency dept of the local hosp and they'll look after you!

    Good luck
