Don't stress too much about the antibiotics during labour. My waters started leaking and I was given 96 hours to go into labour naturally. During that time they put me on really strong antibiotics to prevent an infection. I did start getting thrush by about day 2. I raised it with both my OB and the midwives at the hospital and they weren't at all worried about it.

In the end I didn't go into spontaneous labour and had to be induced. They had me on the antibiotic drip for the 11 hours that I was labouring. I ended up having an emergency CS, so don't know if bubs would have got the thrush. However, the next day I was completely unaware of the thrush I'd developed, I'm not sure if it had subsided cos I was no longer on the antibiotics or if with all the bleeding you're just not aware of it. None the less it wasn't a problem for me after the birth.
