    Head engaging?

Hi all, just wondering that sharp pain you get in your vagina does that mean bubs head is engaging?

I went into preterm labour at 26 weeks but the hospital managed to stop it & now I'm nearly 31 weeks & this past week the b/hicks have really stepped up again & also getting this shooting pain in my vagina, just wondering if these are signs that bub may not be too far away? (never had this pain with
    my first bub).

    Thanks in advance, Jo

    Hi DJTTC

Just because the head is engaged does not mean that you are about to go into labour. Also the reverse is true. Some babies do not engage until after labour has started.

To me your pains sound like your baby is lying in an awkward position or perhaps lying on a nerve. Hopefully your baby will move in the next day or so and give you some relief.
