    Exclamation Help! warning might be too much Tmi

    Hi all;

    So I am 34 weeks, almost 35, and last night after DH and I had DTD, I went to the loo, which is nothing unusual, but when I wiped, it was a peachy colour. I wiped a couple of more times just to make sure, and it stayed that colour. (it looked pretty much identical in colour to when my waters broke last time!)

    Anyhow the next time I went to the loo, everything was back to normal again.
    Bubs is still moving just as nicely and my belly still feels rock solid (although i dont know if that has anything to do with it)
    What do you think is going on? Im a litle worried, as its something I havent experienced before!!

    I cant ask the ob next time I go because Dh will be with me and hes already paranoid about DTD, and I dont want to worry him for no reason; after all it will be a long time before that happens again (more than likely that will be his xmas pressie! lol!)

    thank you in advance

    Justine

    The next morning after I DTD with my DH I had the same thing and it was my show. But there was heaps and heaps of it not just a smear. It did continue for over 24hrs however. It was very much a mucousy apricot colour. Maybe some of the mucous plug has come away from the friction of DTD or else a small amount of bleeding or cervical plug amongst normal fluids from DTD. Sounds like nothing to be concerned about if bub is still moving and you haven't had any pain. Just keep an eye on it and bubs movements.

    You could always ring the midwives at your local Hospital and just ask them if they think it's anything to worry about.

    thank you so much,
    im a little less worried about it now, but i really freaked out in the wee hours of this morning. Its DD birthday today and we've had a house full all weekend. I was freaked out that I would be early, that they would share the same bday, and that I wouldnt be able to celebrate DDs brithday with her! Not to mention the pressure of having eveybody here waiting and waiting!

    But I dont want to have bub just yet if I can help it, and I dont really want to avoid DTD if I can help it, but if it comes down to it and that has to go then thats all good too!

    thank you

    Hi Beansbeans
    Everything is fine. At 34 weeks pregnant your blood volume can increase by up to 80%. Your body also increases the number of very small blood vessels. A great many of these blood vessels are in and around your vagina. In many women this will cqause the area to swell. When DTD the friction caused can often damage these small delicate blood vessels in your vagina causing them to bleed, and this is what has happened to you. Providing that when you wipe it is only pink and that it does not last for more than a few hours there is nothing to worry about.
