If the cost of the TV is not included in your stay make sure you have enough money to pay for a couple of days of TV hire for when the person comes around. If you don't have cash they wont put it on.... and it's a bit of bad luck if hubby has the cash & is out of the room at the time.

The only thing in my labour bag that actually got used was the lip balm. Seriously.

I wish I'd taken more clothes as my stay ended up being 5 nights.

Didn't use the loo paper I took.

Make sure you have a little cash stashed somewhere so that if you get a disgusting meal served up (this only happened to me once) you can go and buy something from the cafe. It's fine and dandy if hubby is with you & can go get you a meal but if you are sitting there with no money & are starving hungry you can suddenly feel very upset.... I was damn near hysterical & my partner was sitting in the room with me at the time. Little things seem very large in those first few days after giving birth. If your bub ends up in special care you also can miss the meal because it's delivered to your room & you could be in the nursery & come back to it cold.... so cash comes in handy to go get something that hasn't been sitting there for an hour or so.
