[QUOTE=Feijoa Mum;2795380]I had two gender scans done at 4D clinic one at 20 wks and one at 36 weeks and they said that it is more clear in 2D to find the gender.

I've been told this as well.

Any ultrasound machine that is capable of 3/4D imaging is based on 2D scanning. So they would generally use both, and give you images in 3D, because that's what parents want.
At 31 weeks it should be pretty clear, but it all really comes down to the skills of the sonographer. It's still possible to make a mistake, but pretty unlikely at 31 weeks, everything is well formed by then.

With DD they were correct at 20 week and 3d

With this one at 20 weeks she said girl but wasnt 100./. and then 3d scan because i wanted to hide it from the parents she said she couldnt get a real good look but girl...so i am hoping she is right..

I think it defiantly comes down to the sonographer but at 3d i think it should be fairly clear at that stage
