I must admit I am actually forward to it now. We will go over to the in laws place in the morning to do pressies as they live so close. And then we will head home and they will go off to the family thing. I don't think I will put the Christmas tree up this year. I said to DH its just too hard bending down and putting it together and I don't want to hassle him as I have been keeping him busy with getting the house painting finished etc. Also the thought of having to put it down again so soon after CS birth I just don't think its practical. Do you think that makes sense?
Totally. It won't matter if you don't have a tree this year. And next year will be such a special Christmas for you with a nearly 1 yo. You'll no doubt go all out then!
We put our christmas tree up this year!! But only because we haven't been able to do it for the last 2 years as we have always been away at Chrissy time!
I'm loving having our tree up this year!
Like MantaRay said - enjoy this chrissy as it will be your last "adult" chrissy for ages.
well im due on christmas day and if it like my previous 3 pregnancies bub will take its time in arriving , so we wont be doing anything much. i doubt we will even be having a christmas lunch or dinner which really sucks as i look forward to it every year.i think dh wil probably just go by takeaway chicken and the kids can make some little goodies.
Just a suggestion - but if this is your first baby then this will be your last "quiet" christmas ever again. Maybe you could book into a really nice room in your home town and spoil yourselves with a lovely restaurant meal.
that way you are distracted from missing your family, enjoying some quiet time with hubby and still close to the hospital.
plus noone ever gets to experience the nice hotels in their own home town!
