I watched the AFL grand final in bed, with a hot water bottle on my back on my hands and knees rocking as the hospital said to keep waiting. As soon as the game finished I got up and gravity took over and it was off to the hospital. I didn't want to miss my beloved Swannies lose..but they did..by one point! I have heard of certain herbal remedies but I never tried any of them as I wasn't confident I knew what I was doing and didn't want to poison myself!

I'm interested in this thread cause I would love to know - not cause I;'m over it but just sooo excited! Anyway I don't think any one thing can do it otherwise we would all be doing it! My gf made her DH have sex ALL the time (poor him!) even though she wasn't even interested just cause she thought that might help like it did with first one!

My gf swears by 'kerb walking'.

One foot up the kerb, one foot on the road and walk!!! You may look a little strange and feel a bit odd, but put your ipod on and keep going round the block! It worked for her 2nd bub who was 10 days late!

My OB told me the last thing you did was the one that worked.

The day before DD was born at 40+5 we had sex, I had an OB visit with a S&S, had acupuncture, jumped on the trampoline and went for a long walk. Take your pick as to which one worked lol

Well my 'due' date was Monday and I have had sex (going to have more), curry, walking walking walking, acupuncture, massage and today threw in a pedi for good luck. Have also been swinging and gyrating like a clown and still waiting. Oh and don't forget raspberry tea (had heaps of that) and have been stop start for 3 weeks. I think I will be pregnant for a while yet, we will see.

Honestly I walked myself silly! The day before I gave birth I walked up a massive hill...it worked!! I was only 2 days over, but id been walking a lot during my whole pregnancy aswell. It just helps gravity I reckon! My last resort would have been DTD..but DP was not keen on that idea!

I tried everything under the sun - dtd, gutter walking, s&s, acupuncture, reflexology, nipple massage. At 42 wks DS was still only 3/5, not even close to engaged.

But, the day before my induction was scheduled I saw a hypnotherapist/guru who helped me to visualise my induction not happening.

In the end I was sitting in the hospital room (we'd sent the doctor with his water breaking device out of the room so we could talk) and I did another last ditch nipple massage and BAM labour. You could see on the CTG I was having BH tightenings every 10 mins, and I did less than 2 mins of nipple massage and I got a massive contraction (enough to dip bubs' heart rate). After that I was having mildly painful contractions every4-5 mins, The hospital staff were not convinced that I was in labour. After checking that the fluid was ok they rebooked the induction for the following day - but 13 hours later DS was born 2 weeks late exactly!

It was a wonderful, wonderful birthing experience.

I tried everything... But in the end...

Definitly NOT recommending this one... I had swine flu and was coughing up a lung, so i think the coughing fit brought on the labour
