Thumbs down HUGE bh after emptying bladder. *TMI*

Ok, might be a little TMI, but sometimes, when i go to the bathroom, i'll sit down, empty my bladder and then my whole stomach, back and genital region (inside) will suddenly seize up. Not to mention, HUGE pain along with it.
And it lasts for a couple of mins.
I've tried getting up and walking around, twisting my torso around, sitting up straight, slouching, flexing all those hurting muscles (which usually makes me whimper like a little girl from the pain), massaging my tummy and side back muscles, coughing, deep breathing, i even tried singing (thought the viabrations from my voice would sooth muscles), emptying my bladder slowly, and tried fast as well. Nothing works!!
I used to only get it maybe once a week or something. These days i'm getting them 8 times out of ten when i go to the bathroom. It's driving me crazy, and since it happens as soon as i drain my bladder, i have to sit there in pain and wait it out cause if i turn to try and wipe, it feels like someones stabbing me.
And it's not like a BH, if contractions feel like this then i'm glad i'm having a CS cause i wouldn't last an hour in labour. I had such a bad one a few days ago i was in tears, and had DP on the otherside of the door freaking out cause i couldn't even draw in enough breath to talk to tell him i was ok.

It doesn't seem to bother bub, he goes back to kicking and rolling like normal within a few mins anyway.

Please help me!! Does anyone else get this??

i havent heard of BH happening to that degree and intensity and frequency after going to the loo. i used to get minor ones after peeing but nothing painful. maybe you have a UTI? not sure though, hope someone else can help you out.

I've been checked for a UTI, nothing. Plus i'm super careful with my hygeine as i had one once and it was horrible. Nothing like this though.

maybe its just pre-labour stuff then, but not sure of the link with the loo. is this the only time you get em?

It is possible to have a UTI without any symptoms at all. I went into early labour at 33 weeks with DS due to a UTI that was unsymptomatic. It has little to due with hygiene, just being pregnant can make you more likely to get one. Ethical nutrients do a Urinary Tract Support supplement that is great, drinking cranberry juice too is a good way of keeping urinary problems at bay. You might not have a UTI but you could have some irritation in the bladder, drinking lots and lots of water is also god.

Also remember that as baby grows he will out more and more pressure on your bladder and it can get very painful at times. If in doubt though check it out with your midwife or care provider.

Good thing is i only have another 13days of this (assuming it disappears when bub comes out). Hopefully it won't keep going on.

i have heard that to have alot of BH is not normal and that it can be avoided if you keep your fluid levels right.. by peeing frequently and not letting yourself get dehydrated(dont know how accurate that is tho). However i get terrible BH all the time and sometimes just crampy pains not to mention round ligament pain should i decide to go for a walk... the joys of the 3rd trimiester!
