Question Itchy - all over !!!!

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has/is eperiencing this. I am experiencing (at random time) all over itchyness on my skin - not just my belly so don't think it is the skin just being stretched - but on my arms, legs, back, head. It seems to come and go so I won't have it for hours and hours and then bam! it is back. Has only just started in the last few days.

Any ideas what could be causing it AND more importantly any ideas how to make it go away

    Thanks in advance.

    hey meadsie,
i've had itchiness the entire pregnancy and was told it's the skin stretching. I now apply vitamin E cream (just the homebrand one) liberally from my face, back, nipples, belly, bikini line (yes! that's itchy too), all down my legs, feet and bum.

i get one particular spot that itches insanely for a day and then it 'moves'. sometimes i swear i've been bitten my something... but dh looks and nope, only red fingernail marks.

but be careful, i've scratched myself to bleeding a few times without realising (including once at work on my legs, super embarrassing).

after using the cream, i still get itchy but not as much nor as bad. i just put on more moisturiser on the spot and try not to scratch.

    hope that helps you love.

If you start noticing the itchiness is more concentrated on hands and feet, and/or worse during the night, it might be worth going to a doctor, especially if creams don't ease it - it could be a symptom of something more serious. But as it stands at the moment it does just sound like skin stretching itchiness.

Yeah, I've got the same, random itchiness! I dunno what it is (probably just stretching skin like mentioned) but I'm not sure! Good luck

totally agree with shades if symptoms persist particularly worse at night definitely worth getting checked over i ended up with Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, or ICP in the later stages with my last pregnancy crazy crazy itching that drives you to madness so keep slapping on plenty of cream and hopefully it is just a bit of extra stretching happening

Thanks all - will try the vitamin E cream/moisturiser and also mention to OB at visit on Tuesday. Seems to have coincided with the increase in temperature so this could have something to do with it also.

    Cheers
