'cos mummy and daddy are ready to meet our little bundle of joy now...
2weeks til our due date, but I'm over the pregnancy and we are both ready to become parents and have bub with us in our arms
I know its easy for me to say but enjoy the last days...go to the movies and out to lunch or dinner or both read a book(something i havent done in months) Once you have your beautiful baby in your arms you will forget thats these last days dragged good luck
The great thing about waiting is that you might end up being more excited and relieved than apprehensive about going into labour. I know I was. I just wanted my little guy OUT, the pain was just a detail. All the best for whenever bub comes!
Party-of-Five - I would enjoy the last 2weeks except for my cleaning has become a little OCD and my family are scared to touch anything 'cos i'm basically following them cleaning!! I MUST TRY AND RELAX
Nelle - I like the honesty! I'm sure by the time I go into labour I'll be excited... even my dad is getting excited that I'll be ringing him soon to take me to hospital (he's taken me on my previous trips as my DP was at work) and he'll get to meet his grandchild
Yep it most likely will, but you will find you are quite busy answering all the phone calls and text messages constantly asking if anything is happening, or if you've had the baby yet! In 2 weeks you'll come up with several rather creative answers Good luck!
I have a squeak over 3 weeks to go and I haven't had "have you had the baby yet" but I do get a bit of "can't be long now" and "where are you planning to have the baby?" and we have my parents on standby to race up here to look after the girls.
Mind you we don't have a bedroom or a name for the new kiddie so they can take their sweet time getting here
I am so with you on this one.... i am 5 weeks away from my due date with baby no 5......have had the cleaning bug like crazy which is driving me crazy because i cant bend and do everything i want to do and have had braxton hicks forever last night they were 10 mins apart for 4 hrs)... think i told the world about my pregnancy a little too early and now it seem like the longest pregnancy in the world. ha i have a name but still havent got the baby hammock yet (watching one on ebay)
got to remember how blessed i am and its probably alot warmer in the womb than it is outside at the moment.
Oh I LOVED the few weeks before DD was born. The anticipation and excitement made every day feel magical. Definitely go out to dinner, movies, and catch up with friends!! So excited for you!
Belle do you want to come to my house and expend some of that OCD cleaning energy??
I understand what you're going thru, I went thru it with DD as well.
Umm... What can I offer apart from trying to enjoy this time, like everyone else has said??
The things I miss the most are sleeping in, long showers at whatever time I want, going for lunch or coffee and just sitting and enjoying without running around after kidlets, going shopping and just getting out of the car, grabbing my handbag and away you go.
In some respects yes, and in others no. Washing all those baby clothes, so cute!!! Sleeping whenever you feel like it!!! Having a shower when you want!!!
but the best thing is that when your "over" pregnancy, that's your body getting you ready for labour, so it means that you're on track for your body to do what it needs to do
Holly - I had contractions 4mins apart the other week, to be told they were BH... plus a solid week and a half of 10mins apart in lead up to that... good luck
OceanPrincess - if you weren't soo far away you'd probably have yourself a deal there although mum's complaining when I go visit as I'm constantly pointing out that the table is dirty... she's started to cover it so I can't tell her!
Kazbah - all of bub's stuff is washed! I washed it all about a month and half ago I have heard that being 'over the pregnancy' is a good thing too, fingers crossed!
I would go out with friends but one bestie is MIA, one is away with work, one friend is in Germany, one just went back to NZ... everyone works...
i totally agree time is going slow im 38 weeks tomorrow but on other hand i dont want to go threw the pain of birth so mixed emotions but i am over being pregnat! lol
try to enjoy last few days too i wish i could but when got other kids to look after you find it hard if this is your first enjoy all you can do while being alone lol cause soon you just wont have the time&wished you did!
Oh Belle honey... your LO will soon be here... you can't be pregnant forever (thank goodness!!!). For me, the worse part is not knowing when - and questioning every ache and pain... which are becoming more frequent these days. I must admit, I am enjoying my me time at the moment... but I am so looking forward to meeting our little man too...
