Iv always had normal blood pressure through out my pregnancy , normal urine etc
last 3 times and today iv had a small trace of protein in my urine test..
and today i had a slightly higher blood pressure than iv had the whole time ,the MF said she wasn't concerned , when i asked, she said it was ok just to watch i dont have headaches etc, which i do sometimes but iv always had headaches even before i was pregnant
Should i be concerned ? has anyone else had the same as me ,or slight protein etc?
Sorry to hear Shell - haven't faced these issues! Do you have puffiness and fluid retention? I know that is a no no when mixed with high blood pressure - but someone else may have further info to add on this who has experienced it!
Hey Shell, i always have trace amounts of protein in my urine, and my OB told me that a trace amount was considered normal.
What was your BP? A slight elevation from normal is generally ok.
If the MW wasn't concerned then i would try not to worry. If you do have swelling (more than normal. ) headaches, seeing stars etc, then you should go and get checked.
I had PE and i didn't have any symptoms except extremely high BP and my fundal height didn't change for 2 weeks indicating my baby wasn't growing at the expected rate.
If your MW wasn't worried , i wouldn't dwell on it. Keep an eye on your fluids and the headaches and if it gets worse, get checked out again. Other than that, use it as an excuse to get DF to do all the work round the house!
I've always been perfectly normal all pregnancy too. Just this week my BP was slightly elevated on Wed, and the GP told me to go home and rest for the day - but I had no protein in my urine. The next morning I had a MW appt and my BP was perfect and she said I had a trace of protein in my sample, but traces were completely normal. Didn't seem worried at all. Puzzling isn't it......!!
hhhmm thanks ladies, im not to concerned as the MW wasn't just said if i had any other things happen give them a call .
But iv always had headaches ,even before i was pregnant so i cant really use that as a sign
My BP today was 130/85..Its never gone over 120/80 normally its around the 70 mark..
And with the protein iv heard the same as u girls that a trace amount is ok, so i guess its ok lol.
Maybe if i can just get this little baby to come out i wont have to be concerned anyway

Just came from my MF appoitment..
) headaches, seeing stars etc, then you should go and get checked.
Walking to the drs or feeling a bit anxious can cause a small riser in BP like that.
