    Quiet bubs!

I hate this! I love being pg but i hate it when bubs is quiet.

I have had to acept several movement changes over the last few weeks and i am starting to crack! i know movements are less irratic and more rolls and turns, and i also know that there is not as much room. bubs movement times have also changed, as in now he doesnt move after dinner, but more before? or during? Im trying not to worry about counting movements like they say in the book (10 movements in 1 hr, as my Ob says you only need 10 in a day or after a cold drink 4 in an hour)

Some days bubs is super active and then folling days he can be really quiet. i usually get a few jabs in teh morning, this morning they were so light, i almost missed them, then i start to think was that a movement?

arrrrrrhhhh i cant wait for bubs to be here, this bit is dragging out so long...........and now i bet im going to be late! lol

just getting it out there x

    Loula,

I have the opposite.. My bubs doesnt stop moving for hours... then i get painful braxton hicks, then she sleeps, then the process starts all over again!

Aslong as you feel bubs move, thats the main thing. I am hopeing my bubs comes early, my mum comes up from melbourne on friday and goes back monday, so hopeing i have her while she is here.. would be great!

Keep up the wonderful job you are doing in supporting another human being, you are doing the most amazing job in the world!

    Hi Loula,

Congrats on your pg sweetie!!!!! You are doing a fab job

I used to drive myself crazy ever time bub was quiet for me. I'd drink the cold water (or coke!! oops) and that would liven him up. My OB said that sometimes bub has a crazy full on kicking day and sometimes a very quiet one, especially later in pg b/c of the lack of room etc. As long as you can feel it move every day it's all good. Even if it's a little poke!

GL with the rest of your pg hun!!!

    Hugs to you hun.
The book is wrong, and your doctor is right. 10 movements a day not an hour.

awww hun, I am not a fan of the quiet days as well, yesterday was one of them, I only got movements just before my OB appointment at 2:30pm, then during my scan wouldn't stop moving and made it very difficult for my OB to do the Dopplers!

She said to me 10 a day as well I haven't been counting them yet as things seem to be going along well atm, but I guess I wil start taking more notice on the quieter days, but my bubs still has plenty of growing to do.

Congrats of 35 weeks tomorrow you are doing a fabulous job hun!!!
Take care and lots of squiggly vibes to your little one xxoo

    Loula

My bubs is the same, sometimes he'll have busy days and then others it seems he hardly moves at all. A bit like his Mum actually! I'm not getting many kicks now, more squirms and rolls- and I'm thinking some of it happens when I'm doing other things

Not long now Loula! 35 weeks!!!!

Ok so i find myself here again!

Bubs is usually really active for two or three days straight then the following two three days he takes a break! im on my quiet stint and hating it. is there a time frame you should feel bubs, ie at least one movement every four hours or so? or just the 10 in a day?

    Thanks

The 10 in the day is generally what we follow, when was the last movement you felt?

Have you tried the cold drink lying down and all that jazz?

I always found with my DD's that they both really hated me resting a hot cup of tea on my belly and would kick at it if I did. So I would make a cuppa if I thought things were a bit quiet to get them moving.

i think it's just the 10 in a day thing.

my bubs also can go hours with very little movement (well what feels like no movement lol). i have taken to doing the rather ignonimous 'poke her in the bum' move...the poor wee poppet wriggles just enough to let me know that all is well (sometimes just feels like a slow sliding movement/resistance).
