Just out of curiosity

Hi ya guy's im just wondering, if the sharp pain im gettin just above my private part is the baby engagin it's head! i've been having these pains for the last 2 weeks, im due the 31st of this month (july). i find this site more useful than the midwife's to be honest, so if any-one can answer my question im most grateful.
The main useful information i have been told is that im expecting another girl........yay.

Yep, sounds like it.
My bubba engaged at about 34 weeks and for the weeks that followed, he was going further down and there was a weird sensation/pain about were the cervix sits and I was thinking - Yep - this is kinda going to hurt!!!

I had that when my daughter had her hand up above her head. She was poking me with her hand I think : ) She put her hand back down just before she was born and was born with her hand up by her face. For the first 3 or 4 months of her life, she would insist on sleeping with one arm stretched out above her head!

I have had a really sharp stitch like pain there too lately. I have just put it down to bub moving further down - so a very welcome pain!

i was told it was the ligaments at the front of your pelvis stretching getting ready for bub to pass thru

yeah that's exactly what it feels like. i try explaining it to dp- it's like someone is reaching right into my bones and trying to rip my vag apart!!

i have a similar feeling, i was worried it was appendicitis it is quite sore.. worse when i roll over or in certain positions. I am nearly 30 wks is it too early to feel that???
