Kicking and hiccuping

Just wondering if anyone else has a really active baby? Do they tend to be boys more than girls?
Mine's a boy and since about 25 weeks (can't really remember but it feels like forever) and now at 34 weeks he absolutely kicks the sh*t out of my guts. He gets hiccups a couple of times a day, as well as kicking me in the bladder, ovaries or whatever else is down there.
My last one was a boy, he was pretty active also (and still is) but I think this is even worse.
It is so constant that if he stops for a while I wonder if everything is all right down there....then he kicks me as if in reply.

Both of my pgs have been very similar movement wise...i have a DD and have been told i have another girl on the way. The only diff is this time she has stopped kicking as such already and just squirms alot but she too gets the hiccups at least 2-3 times a day. I can go all day with out feeling her if i am busy but the second i sit down or even get in the car etc she fires up and its like she's trying to find her way out. It can be uncomfortable but hey wouldnt chang it for the world.

My experience was/is the same as Mads, all through my PG DD was active & got hiccups every night at 10:30pm... right when I wanted to go to sleep!! She is still very active, the most active in my mothers group of 9 & she just never stops!!
So I dont know if it has to do with the sex, I think its more just the bubs themselves. Gotta love it hey

YES! My ob kept saying "ooh, you have a very active baby there" and I could also feel hiccups. Sometimes when I was spooning my partner in bed, the baby would kick him in the back!

Anyhow, we were convinced we were having a boy. So much so, that we had no girls' names picked out.

Now she's seven weeks old, still hiccups a lot and is very active when she's awake. Luckily she sleeps a lot too.

My little man was very active, and hiccupped alot. He has reflux, and I've heard hiccupping can be an indicator. Not to scare you, I'm just letting you know )

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and my little boy is really active, to the point where if I haven't felt him for half an hour I get worried, but then I get a huge kick in the ribs and all is good
It can be a pain sometimes but in the end I wouldn't change it for the world, most of the time I love feeling him squirming and kicking around in there!!

My DD used to get the hiccups alot in utero she had a bit of colic but not too bad.

Its sounds really funny on a CTG when they have them.

My son moved about constatnly from 14 weeks onwards, he was moving around right up til i started pushing in labour too! He used to get hiccups at least 4 times a day in the last couple of months.

My mum had 4 girls and her youngest was exactly the same as my son, never stopped moving. She is now 15 and still hasn't stopped moving! She is very athletic and is a track and field contender for the 2012 olympics! My other sisters and i weren't hugely active in the womb and haven't been too athletic all our lives.

I dont reckon its just a boy thing, you must make very energetic babies thats all.

My boy is very much a cheeky monkey already - first flutters at 11 weeks, first kick at 17 weeks - non stop since then! At least 20-25 movements a day, even now (at 37 weeks).

His favourite seems to be kicking me in my ribs AND cervix at the same time.. DH thinks it's funny :P

Is it true that hiccuping can be an indicator of reflux? Can you tell me if your DS hiccupped a lot while you were pregnant?

My GF said that her bub hiccuped alot and now he is out, it is just the same - so likely an indicator that the in-utero habits will continue!

Jellybean is really funny, he/she starts hiccuping for a while, then gets shirty because they must be annoying, and starts to squirm and kick more. I pat my tummy around where JBs back is and that seems to help
