    I don't know what the odds are, but they certainly will do everything they can to save bub. Shell1, I think you're right, I think they do try and save bub from 24 weeks onwards.
    Sending lots of prayers to your SIL that they were able to stop labour

    Thanks for the replies.

    SIl gave birth a couple of hrs ago, She is 850g, 36cms long and apparently has the lungs of a 30wk gestation bub... So far she doesnt have a name, but everyone seems to be doing fine.

    At this stage they are thinking she will stay in brisbane for a few weeks than move to the nearest hospital. So Im off to meet my niece in the few weeks!

    Survival rates for 28 weeks nowadays are very good.

    Congrats hun on your SIL - Medicine nowerdays are a modern miracle (almost) and I know she'll be looked after well
