I'm hardly getting any only the occasional one, I am getting cramps on and off and have a sore back but not any B/hick.

I only got them in the last two weeks with my first and barley any at all with my second, not sure why tho!

Hope this helps and makes you feel better!

I was talking to girls at my class the other week hun and 2 of them who were due before me and just after had no idea what they were! I explained what I felt when I get them and they didn't think they had gotten them! Well they say you get them but some people just don't feel them at all. Not long to go now!

I've heard not everyone gets them....kinda of like morning sickness. Apparently over 85% of people get morning sickness and I wasn't one of them. Kind of hope its the same for BH

It seems that every pregnancy is different. I have had absolutely no BH at all!!! Was starting to get worried myself, but have been told that it is normal. I have been feeling lots of pressure and slight cramping very low down, but don't think it is BH. Hugs to you and hope your labour and birth are easier on you this time x

Oh hun - try not to stress. Read lots of vbac stories that you can find online and on here - surround yourself with positive affirmations. Your(our!) body is made to do this - I went through around 36 hours of labour from first gel to c/s too but I know that every birth is different and every experience is different and I am focused on making this one different. Do you have a doula for your birth? If you need anything - even just to vent or chat please let me know.

My obstetrician suggested you can have BH without realising it, because they're not always apparent but your uterus is still doing what it's supposed to do.

I didn't notice them at all until I felt one when I was lying on my side on the couch watching TV one day, and then I became aware of what they were so I started noticing them after that ... but only in certain situations. I only notice them when I am out walking or lying on the couch watching TV.

Actually, the other day I had one when I just sat down to go to the loo. That was strange, it prevented me from doing my business until it passed.

THe most important thing for you to do is to relax! Easier said than done, but sometimes the body will "hang on" if you are stressed out. Part of our instinctive nature to give birth in safe surroundings I think. Think of what the worst possible outcome (realistically) could be and then try to think of a way to deal with it. This way you are able to manage your fears. For example if the worst outcome you can think of is another c/s, perhaps think about the positives like the fact that you gave it your best shot, you will stil have a gorgeous and beautiful baby etc. Knowing how you will deal with a scary situation makes it easier to acept your fears and plan how you will work towards avoiding them.

As for BH - I didn't get them AT ALL with DS, so it was somewhat of a surprise when they started a couple of weeks ago, I was like "Oh, so that must be what they feel like!" Every pregnancy is different and as my ob said, perhaps I was getting them before but just not as strong and I passed them off as bubs moving. I mentioned that someone told me you don't get them as often with subsequent pregnancies and she said it's different for everyone. Some people are too busy with their child to really notice them the second time around whereas others are more aware of them because they are more aware of their bodies full stop in a second or more pg.

I never had BH at all with Aiden.
But, best of luck Megan, will be thinking of you, and i hope that your VBAC is successful.

I am getting heaps of BH and I must admit I wish they would back off a bit cause I worry that I will have the baby too early. But I am one of these girls that could feel the exact moment that I ovulate, so I am very sensitive and I think this is why I notice BH more.

I never had a braxton hick contraction at all and I went before my due date. Best of luck achieving your VBAC!!!
