May seem like a stupid question, but since I usually only get 4 hours sleep on a good night - and last night was a bad one at just over 2 hours sleep between the hours of 2.30am and 5.30am - is it bad in any way for the developing baby?
I know its not great for me, but I'm sucking it up and continuing with life cos well.. got no choice really.. lol
But I am worried about the unborn one and if it could be affecting it in some way?
Or is this just a sleep deprived raving nutter kind of question... lol
In the last 4 weeks with Emily, I was averaging 2 hours sleep a night. I was just in so much pain, and had so many false alarms that I couldn't sleep. I would imagine over time it may be harmful to yourself and bub to not get any sleep, but like I said, I would think it would have to a long period of time.
Hhhmmm, I don't think it would be any harm to your baby if you weren't sleeping. I reckon as long as you are resting it would be ok..
I was same here when pg, probably averaged 2hrs a night broken sleep in the last 10 weeks of the pg.
Take care chick xx
I wouldn't think so Mel, afterall our bodies do start preparing us in the sleepless dept around this time.
I s'pose as long as you are taking it as easy as you can during the day for your own benefit so you don't get run down. Bub will sleep or rest as s/he needs it so it really is all about you and your health.
Take care hun and if you can get a nap even for an hour then do so
I had the same problem when pregnant with J, because Z just didn't sleep well, coupled with PUPPPs and there was no sleep for this pregnant lady. It's fine for bub because they sleep whenever they want, it makes no difference to them what you're doing sleepwise, really. The only thing I would be concerned about is being tired when you go into labour. That said if it's a long labour you'll be used to going with little sleep if that makes sense.
