Leg cramps that haven't gone away! :(

On Sunday morning, I had a terrible calf cramp which I know is all part of the lovely process of pregnancy. Trouble is, that cramp has disappeared and now is replaced by an extremely sore calf muscle which is still here! My husband gave it a massage Sunday night, but it hasn't helped and now I'm just hobbling around (which looks and feels great to add to my pregnant waddle!). Are there any ways of getting rid of this pain?

    Hi Fran,
Leg cramps are lovely arent they?! I had two in a row the other night but actually didnt get a sore calf muscle!

I am not too sure what you can do to make it hurt less. All I know that with time, it will go away. I think I've had a sore calf muscle for 3 days before. Just keep massaging/rubing it.

Sorry, not much help am I?!

Just keep moving your leg even when sitting. It might take another ay or so. I got terrible leg cramps with my first son.. I used to wake up almost screaming in agony

Bananas are supposed to help.. Pottastium is what you may be lacking. This is jusst from what I have read. Also sometimes to much softdrink can cause then.. and sometimes a lack of or to much salt.. Goolge leg cramps in pregnancy and see what you can find

oh yeah I get that all the time, my legs cramp up amost everynight 2 or 3 times atleast, and I often get the sore calf for a few days too,
I know from my younger years as I have always had a prob with cramps in my legs, that it is a lck of tissue salt whick is different to normal salt, you can get these tiny little tissue salt tablets that you put under your tounge to disolve and the problem does go away quite rapidly, you get them for a health food shop, but having said that I am not sure if they are ok during pg perhaps ring a natroupath I am sure they could tell you and ask a chemist and a dr that way you can be sure it is okay to take.
