    Question losing weight

i discovered yesterday and again today that i have lost weight, not much but around 800g in a few days, should i be worried? not about myself but more worried about bubs, is it nothing, is it a lowering of amniotic fluid??
i didnt really put on any weight with DD from around 33weeks, but i never lost any either

I lost a little bit in the last few weeks of pg with my last two. I had plenty of flud in there, but I think with the baby going through it's last growth spurt where they lay down all their fat and gain the most weight, that they really just suck it out of you kwim? Plus i just wasn't eating as much cause I had no appetite

I have never been fortunate enough for this to happen to me but I do know of others that have lost weight in the last few weeks of pregnancy due to no apetite, heartburn and the extra energy required. As long as you aren't losing a lot of weight quickly it isn't unusual.

Even though you've been having your yummy desserts, you may be losing weight because your metabolism is so high at the moment. With this extra heat and all the running around you are doing with the family and stress that might be causing you to lose weight.

I am sure everything is fine with bubs.

Jols, don't forget that it's freaking hot here ATM! So that won't help, fluid-wise. If you do become really concerned give your midwife a call

Yep - make sure you are drinking enough fluids. It has been pretty warm the last few days.

thanks chickies i mentioned it to justin my accupunturist today and he is to blame!!
my herbal concoction from last week had stuff in it to help with the fluid in my feet and back!! so all good. that and what you mentioned ali, metabolism with the heat. the read rooster for lunch the the chocolate paddle pop i just ate will help put anything back on.
