Maybe plug??? (MAJOR TMI WARNING)

So late last week I had a lot of gooey/jelly like yellow discharge (but only when I wiped) and a small amount of white jelly like discharge.

Today on the loo I was doing what people do and felt (and heard) something drop out of me...and it didn't come from my backside. I had a quick look and in the loo was a whitish/almost clear thing floating like a jellyfish. It seemed quite big.

When I wiped there was clear type mucus.

Am I being too hopeful? Or could this be my plug?

I'm very wary of it only becuase at a scan last week they said I have a lot of amniotic fluid and if I have no plug that in theory means that I could flood a small room at any time LOL.

Definitely sounds like your plug to me too! I would describe mine as exactly the same as yours with my last two pregnancies.

I hope that it's your plug and labour starts soon, but at the same time, I hope you don't go flooding any small rooms Or if you're going to, have someone there to rescue you

It could be, but I lost mine three weeks before I went into labour

(And I'm with you on the huge amount of fluid - I've had a lot of fluid with all my pregnancies, and getting around the labour ward when I'm setting off a tsunami with every contraction is a little difficult... fortunately this time round I didn't have time to get off the bed after they broke. They had to put a scalp clip on and he was born five minutes later.)

Well I have to tackle the peak hour trains today (and they are PACKED) so let's hope it IS another 3 weeks! Don't think the transport authroity will be very happy with me if I clear out the carriage of a train.

After the loss of the jellyfish last night, baby had a major active period, hitting me on the cervix and whatnot. Ouchies!

Sounds like your plug! That's what mine looked like. Don't worry too much about flooding the train, because the babies head should act like a plug, and only a trickle will come out at first. Maybe wear a pad or a liner?

Good luck. Dont go taking any ferries - you dont want the river levels to rise too much. ( i mean if your waters break - not cause you are heavily pregnant )
