Until 36 weeks, bubs was in perfect position. Then she turned prosterior. At 37 weeks, I was relieved as she had turned and engaged beautifully. Then I had contractions and cramping for 4 days and she backed out so to speak. So now she has disengaged and turned prosterior again!!! Please help with how to make bub turn as I am 38 weeks tomorrow.

Yep, spinning babies is great!
hahahahaha
when i hear the term 'spinning babies' i get this mental image in my head of my baby breakdancing!!!!
bahahahahahah crazy preggo brain!!!!
Good on you my love for researching & informing yourself. Spinning Babies as the others have said is really the best place to go for help.
I was told getting down on all fours and rocking backwards and forwards helps....
I did it with my last son and it worked![]()
Yep down on all fours is good, or on knees with arms/upper chest draped over a fit ball too. My doula has recommended after the hands and knees time to sit on the fit ball and rock for about 10 - 15 mins too to keep bub in the right position. Our bub has been transverse for ages, and after a week or so of doing the above 2 or 3 times a day for 15/20 mins, we are now head down anterior. I know it can change, and then change again, but I'm confident if I keep it up we will be in a fantastic birthing position!
Good luck![]()
Yep hands and knees position at least 4 times a day.
Also if you need extra help accupuncture is great, worked for me.
It is so hard to know what works because a lot of these posterior babies just turn around themselves! I had some accupuncture at 40+1 and she turned that night - no idea if that worked or she was just ready to turn anyway but it might be worth a try.
ETA - I had the stop start contractions also, my girl was just keeping me on my toes!
Been on spinning babies website and been doing some exercises last few days. No joy yet but keep going!
I think it depends on bubs....I visited their site and did every trick in the book with DS#1....he stayed posterior and I only got as far as 4cm and then DS#2 was doing fine, dialted to 5cm in good time and then whammo, everything stopped, he pulled back up and I had instant back pain.
Hope your little one behaves and does what you ask!!!!

Spinning Babies is a great website.
Are there any Birth Workers in your area who have experience with the Rebozo?
One quick thing my mw mentioned is to not sit on the fitball if you're trying to turn the bub, as it can encourage them down too early, ie before they've turned.
Good luck!! I hope bub's turns for you!
lots of babies actually turn on the way down, i.e. while you are in labour.
accupuncture and moxa sticks are very useful the same way they are for turning a breech baby
How are you travelling M2W i keep checking in to see if you have gone yet.
Good Luck with the re-positioning....fingers crossed it wont be long for either of us

Lis - still nothing on my front...not even a niggle!! I spent hours and hours yesterday scrubbing - the baby bouncher, pram, baby toys, change mats etc (freshening up all my son's stuff) in hope the leaning forward and hands and knees position would turn bubs...no such luck! Ever since bubs disengaged and backed up, there has not been a single niggle! She obviously went down, decided she didn't like all the contraction action, and has gone back to where it is comfy with absolutely no intention of moving....looks like I will be here at my due date (as I have gestational diabetes OB will only let me go a couple of days over due date as long as sugar levels stay stable) - so 14 days to go!!!
How are you travelling?
Going back to spinning babies website to get more clues today..
Sara - how do I find that information out???
Where are you located?
You could Google Midwives, Doula's and Childbirth Educators in your area.
You could also use Google Video's to see how the Rebozo is actually used.
The other thing to remember is that baby's can turn right up until during labour.
The main thing to do is try and maintain good posture and do things which promote an Optimal Fetal Position.Hopefully then your baby will "participate" and rotate into a good position ready for Birth.
Good luck!

I am going through the motions too, but this little bubba has gone down again as pressure is almost unbearablebut my next appointment isnt until fri, as this has been a textbook pregnancy I am still on fortnightly appointments (blessing and curse).
But I have strtaed to think about going over again and getting induced so at least i know I will have the baby in 27 days defo. Would prefer not too obviously but I think its better to be prepared this time round.
Good luck with the repositioning, I hope it works.
