    Nesting!

    HI Ladies,

I have noticed I am doing some nesty type things and just wondered what funny things you have oddly found yourself doing? I am a pretty organised person anyway but Im itching for more order iykwim?

Aside from my home being cleaned to within an inch of its life I have:

Cleaned out the guest bathroom cupboards (in case our visitors after the birth think Im unorganised)...erm who cares?

Rearranged the linen cupboard and folded everything the same size and put into categories

Cooked up heapes of meals to freeze.

I figure this will all go into disarray on babies arrival so I might as well take advantage of it lol

with my 1st baby i was the nesting nutcase... lol i had every draw in the house sorted and had a massive throw out of stuff (somethigs i still regret). i would blow my stack if something was not put back in its exact place e.g tweezers returned to the right hand side of the drawer and not the left

i also washed all walls, doors, door frames and skirting boards.
oh and the curtains......not sure why i did this.
AT 38 weeks pregnant my DH cme home from late shift to find me standing on the kitchen bench cleaning on top of cupboards etc...... at midnight this seemed insane let alone 38 weeks pregnant.

    there is a heap more.

im pleased to say im not as nesty this time perhaps cause we just moved and everything was put away in an order and has managed to stay that way

congrats on freezing meals i should put more effort into that then cleaning the last time

I seem to feel the need to nest for a few weeks out, but it builds as the day gets closer to the point that I'm exhausted when the day comes!!!!!
Good luck it sounds like it will be soon.

Oh I have done some odd things in the past weeks:
    • Scrubbed the kickboard under the kitchen benches
    • Washed the front door (solid and security)
    • Painted the front patio
    • Washed doors and door frames
    • Cleaned the dust under our bed (second time ever)
    • Scrubbed cupboard doors
    • Keep cleaning the stove top so it's not dirty when bub arrives
    • Put up new curtains in our room, bought new drawers for DD's room, new ironing board cover (!), new shower caddy.....

    And on the list goes..
