I thought having ours fitted at 37 weeks would give us plenty of time...however DD came ON THE DAY it was being installed...had to get Mum to come over so it could be installed. And as you know she is our first baby.....so bub could come any time.
So, my advice is get it done as early as you want!!

DH is outside installing ours now (32 weeks). We figured we need to be prepared if this little one decides he/she will arrive early. Plus we want to have enough time to take it to the RTA to get checked before we use it.

I think DH wants to fit it himself and then we'll get someone to check it over.

AJC - so do you have to book with the RTA or just show up and someone checks it for you?
Sara - we got a Safe N Sound one!! They are the most reliable brand from what i read and was told....

I think going by what all of you have said i think I'll get DH to fit it at 35 weeks

Not sure Ren - will let you know once we find out. My guess is that there may only be limited staff authorised to inspect so we might need to book an appointment if that is the case.
