dont let them force you, i had a failed induction at 10 days over and went home for another 3 days and didn't let them break my waters til then and still had to be induced with syntocin as labour wouldn't start. I still got my VBAC though so don't think it won't happen, just stand your ground
I wont be having an induction, I had an horrific time of it with DS, and I'm happy that the increased risk of scar rupture is enough to cancel it out (that's my decision though). My Ob hasn't set a date for c/s, and is happy to monitor - the one most worried about going way over is my DH (partly cos he's completely and utterly sick of work I think!). I have monitoring today and probably Friday before seeing the Ob next Monday (42 weeks), guess we'll talk dates then! But I wont be needing that appointment, because I'll have my baby way before then
I'm getting out for walks every day, but I think I might do it in the evening tonight - that's when I have the most BH and when I feel like it's going to turn into something! I did have a contraction that woke me up in the middle of last night, but nothing eventuated
helle - I'm just super competitive and want to be last in our BB group to have the baby! lol. Um, hell no, would have been happy to be smack in the middle
I would laugh if I went into the monitoring today for them to strap me to the CTG and say "you're having contractions, I think it's early labour". Because I just don't know what it feels like!
Sounds like you are in a great place with a great ob! I just kept telling myself that I wanted my baby to choose his birthday and that I wouldn't be pregnant forever, even though it felt like it! I was going to a yoga class and had acupuncture a few times a week in the last 2 weeks and I would get contractions after each of those, might be worth a try? Massage was great too - just for some well earned relaxation! Hang in there! xoxo
Had a pedicure/manicure this morning (got clear on the hands in case I need a sats probe on them soon, lol), then went off for monitoring. Baby is doing just fine, heaps of fluid (top end of normal), great functioning placenta, lots of movement, great heartbeat. They only had the CTG on for 20 minutes, and I had 4 good contractions during that time (obviously BH). Had lots today, keep your fingers crossed. I shall do the same, and keep my legs uncrossed! Like the lady I am at the moment...
Grandma took DS to the pool this morning so he had a lovely day without any pressure on Mummy. Mum's gone home now though, so until labour starts I'll be missing her!
Well now, I hope this turns into something... Fingers crossed I have to call my Mum back tonight at some stage - I'm sure she'll love a 3.5 hour drive in the middle of the night!
