Question Ok - really starting to stress

    Hi there,
I'm now in the third trimester which is ace - getting closer! I know I have asked this before but I am starting to really worry that I can't feel the baby from the outside of my tummy. I feel it everyday from the inside - a mixture of flutterings and vibrations but no real definite kicks. My ob said that he would be able to feel it at my 28 weeks appointement which is next week but everyone else seems to feel it earlier. any ideas?

I cant feel it much from the outside, I get DH to put his hand there and I feel the kick on the inside and it is EXTREMELY rare that he feels a thing. I have an anterior placenta so I put it down to that.... If you feel it from the inside I really wouldnt worry.... (i know easier said than done)...

everyone is different. i wouldnt stress over it to much.I know it would be nice to feel it from the outside, but, as long as you are getting some feelings, then dont worry. Also, baby is probably more active when you are asleep, so, it may just be that you have missed some of the bigger movements.

I remember, one morning a few weeks ago, i got up and had a cold drink cause i couldnt remember feeling bubs move for a while, but, when i told DH, he told me that while i was sleeping, he was awake, and resting his hand on my tum, and could feel it move.

Don't worry, any day you'll see that little foot, hand or head poking out and you'll be completely blown away.

it entirely depends where you placenta is located and maybe yours is between your stomach and baby, thus that's why you can feel it from the inside but not the outside.
I am the opposite and this one is a wriggler so its driving me crazy and I am not due until 19 Aug so a wee while to go yet! Hang in there and talk to your OB whom I am sure you be able to put your worries at ease

TBH i dont remember when i felt DD from the outside.. but i know i felt nothing at al from her until about 21 weeks and it was minimal. Im now over 22 weeks and only can feel bub move randomly. I think it will be quite some time til i feel it from the outside. Dont stress... bub will be and is fine!!

That is so sweet! It's brought a tear to my eye, but then, I am pregnant

And JordieC I don't think you should worry at all; everyone is different, and every pregnant is different, and if you can feel your little one moving inside you, then that is just wonderful.

Well I guess as usualy I was stressing for no reason! Last night I was sitting in a meeting leaning back and actually saw my tummy move! It was so exciting I wanted to tell everyone (would have been highly inappropriate! LOL). I still can't feel it exactly but seeing it move - WOW!!! It was like little bubs had the hiccups! Thanks for everyone's nice advice!

Jordie - i have noticed that as well. Sometimes, i will see it move, and by gosh does it move, but dont actually feel it. Its weird, you would think you would feel it, but, apparently not.

I am so glad you saw your tummy move, it is special isnt it, I actually remember thinking along the same lines as you, I was quite worried that I had not felt alot of movement etc and got a little panicy, but at about 30 weeks I started feeling it a bit and by 33 weeks I felt it alot from outside. so yeah try not to stress to much I think each person is different,

mumtobe that is so sweet of your DH to do that I had a real 'awwwwwww' moment LOL
