Question Ouchies.... is this something happening?

    Hi all,
I've been getting some serious back pain all day, along with some stomach tightening and a general feeling of nausea. The back pain seems to be coming in waves and is getting worse. The wave of it a few minutes ago was strong enough so I couldn't concentrate on what i was doing, iykwim.

With ds, labour didn't start 'normally', I had a massive bleed and things went from there, so I'm not quite sure what I should be looking for as far as labour starting goes. Does it sound like something is happening or is this just usual last few weeks kind of stuff?

Sounds like it could potentially become the real thing.
Unfortunately, I don't think there's any real way to tell if this sort of early labour is going to pick up into real contractions, or if it will be "pre-labour" and die off again. But those symptoms definitely sound promising! See if any kind of pattern develops, and check with your midwife it becomes more painful or more regular.
    All the best!

Get a piece of paper and note the time this feeling comes on. If there is a pattern, finish packing that hospital bag!

*bah* Thanks for the well wishes everyone, but it looks like nothing. Disappeared last night after a shower, nothing all day until a few hours ago. Looks like it's another few days of early labour at least Not stressing about it- I can definately wait a bit longer...
