I went to my cousins wedding when I was 41 weeks, and was booked into the hospital for an induction that night! I only went to the ceremony, gave the reception a miss and headed to the hospital instead. I didn't realise it at the time (being first baby and all) but I was already in early labour having light contractions during the ceremony. Keep in mind you'll probably be highly emotional! As soon as the organ music started I started crying and didn't stop until it was all over! I kept asking DH "is my mascara running?!' I was glad that I went in the end though!
Personally I got cabin fever when I was heavily pg and not driving with Sarah. (I had a tpl n decided that it would prob b safer 4 me not 2 drive) Even going to the shops was enough to make it go away but if I had decided that I wouldn't go to the family easter do on my due date I would have gone nuts! Your first labour may take while for you to notice that you r having contractions but you will more than likely have plenty of warning and be able to let your hair down and enjoy yourself for the party. If worst comes to worst someone will call an ambulance for you. You should be fine but the b+g will understand if u r 2 tired.
I'm actually not too worried about going into labour. It is more the tiredness and late night. I sturggel past 9.30pm as it is, and it will be a long day as the ceremony and reception are 4 hours apart. I would love to go into labour early, but doubt that will happen with my first. Thanks for all your stories
